I ain't a kid anymore and well, the days of joy and wonder in my life are well behind me. Not even once this damn year my cold heart experienced the feeling known as joy. But then I came across an interesting but obscure corner of the Google Play Store, where kids go cry about how their parents locked them out of their phones. Some ancient posts here, but it's priceless:

There's trust involved, the presence of parental control breaks that
Kids aren't trustworthy, retard. If it's the parent's responsibility to not let their kids get groomed by troons/764/etc, then parental controls are objectively a good thing. Depriving kids of the wider Internet is probably part of the recipe for raising future adults who aren't total fuckups

Okay, sure, but of all tech conglomerates, do you really believe Google is capable of making a functional parental control? They couldn't even keep elsagate off of YT kids.

I'm sorry but the goalpost is staying where OP planted it

Are you actually gonna act like it didn't exist after all of the documentation? Third world shitters spammed shocking content under child-friendly video tags and painted over it with cartoons. It's not rocket science, and it's been years since they finally got around to dealing with it. That is not the current issue. Just pointing out Google's track record is a disaster.

I'll be fair, I don't give a shit about what OP said, my point stands.

Again /pol/tard ass nigga, the goalpost is staying where it was planted. You said Google couldn't control the learned helplessness videos that were being propagated and I asked you to link me to one
>Event happened nearly a decade ago
>You want me to link fly by night jeet gore and piss minnie mouse spiderman videos that have long since been deleted

Nigger. I said it was a problem that they could not contain to just YT. Not that it is still their current issue. When this was happening /pol/ was not the most relevant source to the issue because it was so god damn bad these videos were everywhere and being slapped into autoplay for Ipad babies brains to be rotted on. But if you really think you're proving some point, here. This one was put up 8 years ago and is still online.
I don't think that it's currently a problem on the kids side, sloppers have moved on long ago, and this isn't nearly the worst of it of course. This comment chain is a sign how bad this got for gen alpha.

I understand why the kids are mad, but it's necessary. I hope the parents taper off the controls as they get older.

That one child has a valid point, you should be able to make a phone call in case of emergency. Maybe the app should let you make an exception, and it could tell the parents who the kid called and how long. That way if they're really in danger they'll be fine, but it'll tattle on them otherwise.

I miss the more innocent vibe the internet seemed to have, even though I'm aware I was oblivious and was just one of the lucky ones.

Didn't read any of that but that's not YT Kids.
Anyway, I trust Google's parenting more than your own, not that you'll be reproducing.
What is it that /pol/brained man babies say?
Honk honk? 🤡

Mocking children is gay
Come on. This isn't mocking. This is like reminiscing on stupid shit you said and did as a child. In a way it's wholesome. It's more about us thinking back to the simpler times when the biggest tragedy in the world was the screentime app locking you from your vidya. When an adult does stupid shit like this, it's to be mocked because it's childish and unreasonable. When it's a kid, it's charming.

One of the hardest laughs I have had in years was when me and my friend skimmed through the rage fueled horribly misspelled curse word filled messages he sent to users through the Roblox messaging system when he was 5 and 6 years old, over something that happened in a game. Bro just learn to smile you boring asshole lmao
