EDIT: This is a thread for Kiwi Video Games, not paper and pen. If you want to play D&D or games like that there are threads for that.
I've been debating on whether or not I should make this thread for a while now and what the details of it should be, so I'm gonna start this thread off with a poll as well to decide what you guys want to do.
So I've wanted to play video games with some kiwis here for a while now and, after one movie night, a couple ideas sprang to my mind of something that most everyone here can do.
Idea 1: Monthly Terrible Game Streams
So one idea is inspired by the Fates series on a channel called Bro Team Pill. For those that don't know, someone would host a Mumble or Teamspeak server, maybe even a mass Skype or Steam call if it's too much work or money to host those. Next we find awful games, similar to how movie nights will have awful movies played to laugh at, then everyone would get on and have fun doing dumb stuff, laughing at how bad the game is or just playing the game seriously if you're a peasant. Example here.
I could even stream on a dummy Twitch account built for this for people that can't make it or don't have the system requirements. Due to the large number of F2P games on PC, they would probably all be on PC.
Idea 2: Game Tournaments/MMO Guild
Another idea is that we find games that people would actually play seriously and have tournaments or even have a guild created in an MMO. Games that would be included would be those like Wakfu, WoW (Although I would not join for that), Warframe, or GTA V like @Cute Anime Girl made. Other games with tournaments could be fighting games such as Street Fighter, the new Mortal Kombat, Skullgirls, Starcraft, League of Legends, DotA or any other competitive game that you guys might want to play.
Idea 3: ???
Feel free to make up your own ideas, I'm by no means the expert on social gaming but I'd love to hear your input! I can try organizing any ideas you guys have, especially after finals for college end, and keep the ball rolling as long as I can.
Hopefully you guys like this idea and we can get something started here like movie night but for people like me who can't sit still through an entire movie cuz I'm too spastic for that.
