Whats up Kiwis,
One of the favourite things I like to do is trade items within the steam trading community, and also on cs:go lounge.
One of the things I have to put up with on a daily basis is dodgy scams, bots trying to phish my account details, trolls, rep trolls and the list goes on.
Not to mention, CS:GO lounge only lets me post every 30 minutes, and the actual steam trading forum only lets you post once every 24 hours. This sucks, as your post will most likely only stay on the first page for maybe a good 5 or 10 minutes at the most, due to the amount of people posting their own trades.
My idea is pretty simple - a thread to trade and sell items - between members of the Kiwi community.
Why bother create a trading forum when there are so many external sites around?
Well, one of the biggest problems is trust between the two parties. Say you really wanted to sell an item for paypal or skrill, you have no idea if the other person will hold up their own side of the bargain and fulfil their obligations.
I have been scammed a few times, even on legit buy + sell classifieds (where I was actually SPEAKING over the phone to the dude who eventually scammed me), and getting scammed really fucking sucks.
THIS IS NOT a thread designed to stop all sorts of scams, but hopefully, knowing the reputation of your fellow kiwis, it may make trading a little less stress-free, and knowing the person you are trading with is a long-standing, positive member of the community means that A - if they DO try some sort of scam, its harder for them to get away with it and B - you know if someone is trying to fuck you over (sometimes).
I have a crap load of stuff I can post here to trade, mainly CS:GO items and knives, but if mods are okay with this idea, I vote that anything that can be traded over steam is welcome.
I need to think this through a bit more before I post any rules or whatever, and I want to know that the mods are chill with this idea.
Id love to see some feedback, or where we could implement some ideas / changes.
Thanks guise
