Okay kiwis, listen up. Felt bored at the moment so I feel like reinstalling Game Dev Tycoon for a short while just for us to play along. For those who don't know, it's a business simulation game where you can create and publish video games.

Rules will begin as follows:
1. For each of my post I'll post an instruction and this instruction will ask the users which move to do. The first post that responds to it with an answer will be chosen as the move, unless it's specified otherwise.
2. I'll post the results and along with the results will be the next instruction.
3. This playthrough will end once there is a game over, which is the company goes bankrupt. We don't need to beat the game, so just have some fun.

Also, No mods are installed for this playthrough. Hints are turned off.

  • First post that responds to this thread will name the company.
  • Second post that responds to this thread will name the player.
  • Gender will be determined by the combined member numbers of the first and second posts. (If the combination is odd, the gender will be female, if it's even, it will be male.)
  • Player customization will be determined by the last digit of the post numbers of the first and second posts. For example, if the last digit for the first post is 9, I will change the player's head 9 times.

Giantspacekat
is chosen as the company name and Zoe Quinn is chosen as the player name.
Player is female as the combined member numbers are 6495 + 520 = 7015, which is an odd number.

Move #2: Time To Develop Our First Game!

We can now develop our very first game now since it's our only option!

XxxRfo2.jpg

Topics Available: Movies, Comedy, Zombies, Superheroes
Genres Available: Action, Adventure, RPG, Simulation, Strategy
Platforms Available: G64, PC
Graphics Available: Text-based ($5k), 2D Graphics V1 ($10k)

First post will determine the topic, second post will determine the genre, third post will determine the platform, fourth post will determine the graphics and fifth post will determine the title of the game! I'll only choose those which have valid answers!

Move #3: Time To Begin Developing!

So now we're at the part where we get to control our time allocations for various aspects for our first game. The higher a slider is set to with respect to others, the more allocated time it will receive during development. There are altogether 3 development stages:
Stage 1: Engine, Gameplay, Story/Quests
Stage 2: Dialogues, Level Design, AI
Stage 3: World Design, Graphics, Sound

The posts must show how many percentages for the development times for these aspects. (e.g. 50%, 0%, 100%)

First post will determine the percentages for three aspects for Stage 1, second post will determine the percentages for three aspects for Stage 2, and the third post will determine the percentages for three aspects for Stage 3.

Final game will have no bugs.
