Lactose-intolerant Kiwis: how hard is it to live in the Milky Way galaxy?

I'm the type that gets the poots or crippling stomach pain when I eat milk products. Eating yogurt every now and then ironically helps. If it's just a cheeseburger, i'm fine, but if I have a milkshake, i'm crippled with stomach pain for the rest of the night. Take an acid reducer if you intend to consume lots of dairy.
