I've noticed a bunch of channel's larping as ~2016 drama and gaming youtube channels. You know back before Leafy got terminated and Idubbbz got cucked? Good times good times. I'm trying to collect a list of channels and I'm debating archiving them since I wouldn't be surprised if youtube starts deleting shit.

I thought this would be insanely gay at first but this is getting some good laughs out of me. So far it seems like all of them are treating it as the goofy shit it is; this community could pump out some gold if that keeps up. This guy in the Content Larp comment section sent me.

There's also what's probably my favorite of the trend: The Larping Tombstone. I wouldn't be surprised if this one is just the same people as it's almost identical. This is like Tyrone Deise level shitposting.

On the more reflective side of things I find it heartwarming that people clamor for the mid 2010's YouTube culture. Can't say I also don't miss it and neither can I knock people for trying to revive it in the only way they know how. It's a shame how gay and sanitized everything became.
 
My YouTube recommended has been filled to the brim by these weird "Larp" channels; channels that mimic popular 2016-17-era content such as iDubbbzTV, DramaAlert and others. They have little-to-no views. Going through the rabbithole of this shit is like watching ants having their own microcosm of a culture.

According to the "Larpenguinz0 fandom Wiki":
Mostly Larpenguinz0 got inspired from the trend "LarpTube" that had started around the end of May from a guy called Larpiplier who was the first LarpTuber and then others were created afterwards, and Larpenguinz0 gained attraction fast and promoted his content along with other LarpTubers, LarpTube is for the people who want to Act and RolePlay as their Favourite Youtubers, Twitch Streamers and Content Creators in General and anyone can become a LarpTuber if they wished, But they also added their own niche, it wasn't just a copy but rather a movement to bring back OG Youtube 2012-2019 before all the slop appeared, they are trying to bring back the nostalgia from the past and create something new to feel the spark they once had before.

people miss when youtube was full of unique people and not commentary slop essays reacting to tiktoks (thumbnail MUST have disapppointed looking white liberal in the middle)
 
people getting sick and tired over modern content creation and wanting proper, genuine content. im genuinely digging the larp channels a ton actually.
