What is slash'em extended you might ask? It's a variant of nethack that takes "everything but the kitchen sink" Throws in the kitchen sink and then ups it by 11.
https://nethackwiki.com/wiki/Slash'EM_Extended Wiki may or may not be outdated.
In slash'em extended the dungeon is now 100 floors deep. Dungeons of Doom is 50, and Gehennom is 50.
There ton of new stuff added. So much in fact that there is no tileset.
As amy(The dev for slash'em extended) has put it in her let's play on a different fourm.
Screenshot_208.png

Please note that was a post from 3 years ago, there a post on reddit from her saying there something around 20k now and that was a year ago.
There is also a ton of roles, and races and you can pick any race for any role, and any of the 3 aligments.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am pretty bad at nethack Even with dwarf valk combo in 3.4.3 I only ever gotten to the maze levels above the castle with the amulet, before rodney finds a way to fuck me.
https://nethackwiki.com/wiki/Race/Slash'EM_Extended A list of races.
https://nethackwiki.com/wiki/Role_difficulty/Variants#Slash.27EM_Extended_roles List of roles.

I plan to see how far I can get with how shitty I am, and when I do lose I don't mind taking requests from you guys for roles/races you want me to try out.

Will this delvolve into me going full autisic and each update to this LP just becomes more and more fanfiction like. Maybe. :story:

Screenshot_1.png

Let's start this party off with a random japanses name because I'm a drity weeb.

Screenshot_2.png

I pick no becuase I know the perfect combo to try out.

Heres all the roles
Screenshot_3.png

Screenshot_4.png

Screenshot_5.png

Screenshot_6.png

Screenshot_7.png

Screenshot_8.png

I'm going death eater. Yes Harry Potter kind of death eater.

Let's see what races we have to work with.
Screenshot_9.png

Screenshot_10.png

Screenshot_11.png

Screenshot_12.png

Screenshot_13.png

Screenshot_14.png

Screenshot_15.png

Screenshot_16.png

Screenshot_17.png

As the name might have tipped you off.

Screenshot_18.png

We are going loli. Yes We are a loli death eater.

Screenshot_19.png

No hybird races for us.

Screenshot_20.png

Of couse female. Wouldn't a male one be shota.
Screenshot_21.png

While a lawful one might be funny Let's go chaotic.

Screenshot_22.png

Same Vanilla intro so rather let's make up our own reason why a Loli Death eater is seeking the amulet.

Clearly Rika wants the amulet so when a person googles "Loli Death Eater" It isn't a ton of SOUL EATER related stuff.

Screenshot_1.png

I wasn't joking about that, you think with how much Weebs and Fan fiction fandoms cross over Loli death eater would be a thing.

Screenshot_23.png

Screenshot_24.png

Screenshot_25.png

For new to newhack and ascii.

@ is us
That F with a Highlight is our pet. Glaceing with ; and hitting (.) while over them, or a monster will bring up more then just the pets name in slash'em extended.

Screenshot_26.png

This is us.

Screenshot_27.png

Heres our pet.

Screenshot_28.png

By Hitting Shift + C we can rename our pet Sessilium is the defult name and after this I will remove all default names.
Also Let me fix the glance info box.

Screenshot_29.png

Much Better., Now it will say the name, and Letter of the things we look at.

Screenshot_30.png

Let's also rename our pet to little voldy.

Screenshot_31.png

Looking at the green % we see it's kelp, You players who played vanilla or other varients might wonder why it's not inside water. Thats just how it works in this variant.

Screenshot_32.png

The other food item is tripe aka pet food.
Let's look at our inv now.

Screenshot_33.png

We will always have all those scrolls no matter what we pick as a role, atleast from what I've played so far it's like that.

As you might have assumed as a death eater we start with a wand of death. You might not have guessed starting with A FUCKING SHOTGUN.
Wizarding world bewear he who shall not be named is recruiting loli's with shotguns.

Also in slash'em extended by pressing the number of the item in our inv while in it, we can example that item. Let's look over all of our stuff.

Screenshot_34.png

Screenshot_35.png

Screenshot_36.png

Screenshot_37.png

Screenshot_38.png

Screenshot_39.png

Screenshot_40.png

Yes if you see a weird name on a weapon and you unsure if the game is fucking with you just check it over in your inv, it will tell you it's not a real artifact if it's not one.

Screenshot_41.png

Screenshot_42.png

Fun Fact like Slash'em Shptkeepers use shotguns rather then wands. Don't piss them off.

Screenshot_43.png

For anyone who checked the wiki Reflection only works 95% of the time.

Screenshot_44.png

Screenshot_45.png

Screenshot_46.png

Screenshot_47.png

Screenshot_48.png

Screenshot_49.png

Screenshot_50.png

Screenshot_51.png

Screenshot_52.png

Screenshot_53.png

Still no idea what numbness does.

Screenshot_54.png

Screenshot_55.png

Screenshot_56.png

Yes we also start with finger of death.
Screenshot_57.png

Screenshot_58.png

Screenshot_59.png

Screenshot_60.png

Screenshot_61.png

Screenshot_62.png

Screenshot_63.png

Notice the trend with death eaters haveing a lot of death related stuff.

Screenshot_64.png

Let's pick up the kelp and tripe.

Screenshot_65.png

Screenshot_66.png

Screenshot_67.png

Screenshot_68.png

Screenshot_69.png

Opening the door we can see that the next room has Trees?

Screenshot_70.png

Yup trees.
Screenshot_71.png

We don't have a axe so we can't cut them down to bypass them.

Screenshot_72.png

You can kick trees to try to get fruit from it.

Screenshot_73.png

Or hurt yourself trying. Our poor little loli legs.

Screenshot_74.png

If we keep kicking it despite the damage we can get the legs status effect like in vanilla.

Screenshot_75.png

Had to find a hidden door.

Screenshot_76.png

Just so you guys know. Yellow # are rock walls and those dots are all lit floors, and the bunch of dots are lit corridors.

Screenshot_77.png

Screenshot_78.png

Oh a scroll we havn't seen before. Let's read it.

Screenshot_80.png

It's a teleport scroll.

Screenshot_81.png

by pressing \ we can check our discovery tab and see what we know.

Screenshot_82.png

Screenshot_83.png

More hidden doors.

Screenshot_84.png

Oh NO d's Let's check em out.

Screenshot_85.png

Let's use google images and pick a random image from it.

1584257139364.jpeg

Screenshot_86.png

All of our spells cost too much mana.

finger of death is 50, and the other two are 20.

Screenshot_89.png

We kill em the old fashion way with our staff.

Screenshot_90.png

We also find another room.

Screenshot_92.png

Under that room we blocked by this.

Screenshot_93.png

Screenshot_94.png

Let's go up then.

Screenshot_95.png

This path leads us back to the start.

Screenshot_96.png

We find the hidden door encase we ever need it.

Screenshot_97.png

That 0 is a boulder.
Screenshot_98.png

Oh is that more food.

Screenshot_100.png

Just a enemy.

Screenshot_101.png

Google didn't bring up any good images of stealer plant so I typed in " Plant robber"

rz1cNOPnb0.png

Screenshot_102.png

It dies fast.

Screenshot_103.png

Those red dots are apprently bubbles that stun. Let's not step into them.
At this point I spot the downstairs and head down.

Screenshot_104.png

For the sake of this being a test Post I'll leave it to just one floor for now.

Tell me if you want to see more,

Hmmm a monster, and it is on the staircase we just took down. Slash'em extended also has monsters and items highlighted like pets if they are standing over the staircase, it's very welcomed. You have no idea how many times in vanilla where i spent like 500+ turns trying to find the staircase only to find out it was being covered and hidden by a object.

Screenshot_105.png

At first Miss read that as DBZ claw hulk and thought it was some super sayain umber hulk. I think it means double claw hulk.
Anyway I couldn't find a good picture so here the goofy First editon picture for a umber hulk.
latest

Look at this goofy fucker. His mouth looks like it's screaming out in pain from stubbing it's toe.

Screenshot_107.png

We bash the fuck out of it, put the poor thing out of it's misery.

Screenshot_110.png

I don't think we can eat corpses off the floor in this variant that or Maybe I am just not trying hard enough, anyway we pick it up.

Screenshot_111.png

Just so we can eat it. I do wonder how we eat the whole thing. Likely just cutting out the prime cuts and eatting those.

Screenshot_112.png

Heading right this blue # is iron bars.
Screenshot_113.png

The hells that in the dark?

Screenshot_114.png

Manes in nethack is according to the wiki, it's a sprit of the dead, and comes from roman mythos.

So let's look up spooky ghost on google.

3211803_0.jpg

While not spooky, It is killing me with that dab.

Screenshot_115.png

Screenshot_116.png

Dabbing on us haters with a potion.

Screenshot_117.png

Screenshot_118.png

That means it's a confusion potion. For the people reading this who never played nethack some stuff that wont auto ID thrown potions are one of those things. The game will ask you want to call said potion when it happens.

Screenshot_119.png

I re-killed one but it had a friend. If they had corpses I would eat them so you could call me a DEAD EATER.

Screenshot_120.png
It dropped a bow.

Screenshot_121.png

We got a level. voldy would be proud. If voldy felt anything other then hate.

Screenshot_122.png

IN Slash'em extended we can see our weight, and we can carry more then vanilla.

For any of you reading this that has never played Nethack, or never read any thing about it before. AC (armor class) is something we want lower, lower the better.

MC on the other hand

And Xp is our level, with the number on the other side of the / being how much total exp we have.

Screenshot_123.png

By presing shift + 3 we can use the extended commands. Before you ask it's a vanilla nethack thing.

Anyway,if we type in technique we can get a list of techniques we know.

It's a slash'em command,so don't expect any of these if you try vanilla nethack.

Screenshot_124.png

Some of these techs every role gets by default. Appraisal, panic, phase, and invoke.

If you press it's number it give you a desc of it, and asks if you want to use it. We will be going from top to bottom.

Screenshot_125.png

Wow world fall sound Great as a Panic button.

Screenshot_126.png

So free uncursed scrolls on a cooldown nice.
Screenshot_127.png

Voldy demands loli blood, it's his kink right next to trying to ruin harry's life.
Screenshot_128.png

Thats useful I guess.

Screenshot_129.png

Panic digging has saved me from many a "Where the fucks the hidden door" shit when I have some idea where it might be but it wont pop up.

Screenshot_130.png

Screenshot_131.png

Another two Panic buttons.

Screenshot_132.png

On the other hand this is a vanilla extended command and opens up our skills menu.

Screenshot_133.png

Thankfully it does tell us what skills can get to what level in slash'em extended. If we use a weapon/spell type enough times we can spell our slots to ENHANCE the skill to the next level.
Screenshot_134.png

There is the wiki page for slash'em extended skills.

Screenshot_135.png

Another lichen.

Screenshot_136.png

Don't confuse it for athe undead wizard type of Lich. This thing is just fungus that moves, and can attack us. All the google picture are meh.

Screenshot_137.png

Hey Guess who has enough Mana to cost a spell now.

Screenshot_138.png
If you are confused by the numbers Look at the keypad and line up each number with it's direction. For example 8 is upwards.> and < are down and up.

Screenshot_139.png

Hah we kill it but oh shit it bounces. I have made a tatical error.

Screenshot_140.png

Screenshot_141.png

Thank god we started with the cloak that reflects.

Screenshot_142.png

I'll take the corpse Lichen corpses never grow too old to eat, but will grow too old to use on a alter.
We are a spell caster so I am going to ignore the armor.

We can also look at the corpse in our inv like every other item
Screenshot_143.png

Screenshot_144.png

Screenshot_145.png

It acts like you glanced at the monster when alive. It's pretty useful to see if the monster give you any resistances for eatting corpses you find in a ice box.
Screenshot_146.png

Screenshot_147.png

Sadly it wont tell you what kind of egg it is.

Screenshot_148.png

Two spaces away a killer fuck.

Screenshot_149.png

When I think of killer ducks I think of this fucker from Dark Deception.
280

A loli can dream they are the same monster.

Screenshot_150.png

Pretty bad at killing.

Screenshot_151.png

Little walk away we find a ring. Unlike the scrolls I'm not going to wear test it.

Screenshot_152.png

I'll use our standard ID scroll we started with to try to ID it. I say try because items have a chance to resist being ID'ed. What is the chance it does you ask? It's different for every run if I remember right.

Screenshot_153.png

But lucky for us because it didn't resist. Yeah Not putting that on.
The name says it all about this ring.

Screenshot_154.png

Screenshot_155.png

More lichen Yeah low Dlvl tends to not have that deadly or crazy of monsters.
Screenshot_156.png

It does drop us a scroll of healing.

Screenshot_157.png

That ( was a box boxes tend to be locked so you need to.
Screenshot_158.png
command
Screenshot_159.png

In this case we want to press period for the spot we are standing on.
Screenshot_160.png

Let's bash it in and steal it's loot.
Screenshot_161.png

Hazzah!
Screenshot_162.png

Oh. Maybe we are a little too bash crazy, we find nothing in the spot the box once stood.

Screenshot_163.png

But we do find another room under that one.
Screenshot_164.png

And as we explore this "FRIENDLY" adventure begins to try to murder us. His idea of friendly is far different then ours.

Screenshot_165.png

Note it says it can be tamed by throwing food at it. I have a dastardly bastardly plan.

Screenshot_166.png

By throwing a tripe at it
Screenshot_167.png

WE FUCKING TAMED HER. When you are so damn hungery you eat dog food, and follow around the weirdo that gave you it.
Screenshot_168.png

That area was a deadend so I chose to explore this other room to the left.

Screenshot_169.png

I know eevee not really a fox, buuuuut I've always seen eevee as a kind of mix of dog/fox/ and other small pets that are fluffy.

So here a picture of a zombie type eevee from a pokemon fan game.
latest

And as a bonus here is a what does the fox say parody song about zombies from 2013.
I hope you slightly died inside from that like I did.
(Side note:There are pokemon in this variant of nethack I am playing)
Screenshot_170.png

Hey killing it got us a another level.

Screenshot_171.png

It had a potion on it.

Screenshot_172.png

Screenshot_173.png

Fuck it lets drink it. Down the hatch.
Screenshot_174.png

Healing potion.

Screenshot_175.png

Screenshot_177.png

It's a plant We already know I didn't ned to glance at it so we sprayed it with acid.
Screenshot_178.png

Screenshot_179.png

Screenshot_180.png

Under us is a Blue highlighted area standing on it, and hitting r to read, then . for the spot we are on we can read stuff written on the floor.
Screenshot_182.png

Apprently this happen a lot.

Screenshot_183.png

YOu can see the high lighted spot here way above our player.

I also noticed I might have missed one up top .
I don't read this scroll.

Screenshot_184.png

That little ~ right next to the chest is apprently a worm tail.
Huh weird this may be a bug given there no head of the worm(W). That or It's just slash'em extended being slash'em extended.

Screenshot_185.png

Somehow we miss it despite it being unable to move.
Screenshot_186.png

But in the end we do kill it.
Screenshot_187.png

We also start breaking into that chest I love me some free stuff.
Screenshot_188.png

This time we don't break it, let's loot it.
Screenshot_189.png

The reason it says this is there a chance these chests can be trapped. You can use the Untrap command to try to untrap them if you think it has one, but I never do.
Screenshot_190.png

No traps this time.
Screenshot_191.png

OH BABY A FREE WAND
Screenshot_192.png

If you do Shift +E you can engrave.
Screenshot_193.png

By hitting - you can engrave with your finger and this is imporant because some of these wands effects can only be figured out engrave styled if used on a already engraved floor space.
Anyway we engrave a X in the dust and Hit engrave again this time using the new wand.
Screenshot_196.png

This could be bad if the monster is strong.
Screenshot_197.png

Screenshot_198.png

Proving just how friendly they are.
Screenshot_199.png

I assumeing it means it's a baby unicorn.
1584305368452.jpeg

Wouldn't be the cutest thing we murder even if that not really a unicorn in that image.

Screenshot_200.png

Screenshot_202.png

Oh my two scrolls.

Screenshot_203.png

They are both teleport scrolls.

Screenshot_205.png

and following along the path we find the stairs down in the next room.
Thats it's for floor 2.

I am both mystified at how you are steamrolling everything and horrofied that you apparently eat an umber hulk to death with a quarterstaff while level 1.

for reference, in 3.5e, those things could wipe level 1 parties with no difficult... just a single one could. you'd need 10 people to stand a chance. nevermind if you fought multiple. an army would have a hard time.

It was a low level one don't worry we very early game and havn't seen anything dangerous yet.

Just for the record here is the wiki page for umber hulk in the vanilla game.

https://nethackwiki.com/wiki/Umber_hulk Notice it's has a higher level and more damageing attacks then the low level one we killed. It also has a higher weight for it's corpse at 1200 meaning at best we just murdered a baby.

It can also confuse us with a gaze. Annyoing bastards if you ask me. Thankfully that low level one couldn't do anything to us.

okay. thanks for pointing that out. that's actually pretty cool.

First I want to mention Something I just noticed our three starting spells are a nod to the three unforgiveable curses.

FoD = Killing Curse
Charm = Imperius Curse
Acid = cruciatus Curse

So thats neat.

Second Let's check floor 2 for any missed graffiti
Screenshot_1.png

Let's hope it's not the Master Mind flayer.

Screenshot_2.png

Screenshot_3.png

This is a hint at throwing gems to unicorn for luck.

Also during this search for those three missed graffities I ran into a new monster.
Screenshot_4.png

I don't play angband but google led me to this wiki https://lotr.fandom.com/wiki/Mewlips

350

Just think of a loli in death eater getup taking a wooden stick and beating one of these things into mush.

Screenshot_5.png
Here's floor three.
Screenshot_6.png

Oh a baby leprechaun. From what I know from vanilla nethack leprechauns are assholes. They don't do much damage but if they hit you they steal your gold and then teleport to somewhere else on the floor.

Screenshot_7.png

Also seem our little pet found a sleeping gas trap. Better her then us.

Screenshot_8.png

As I am about to cast acid It seem I should get something to eat. Unlike wizards we don't get hungerless spell casting so every spell cost us a little bit of Nutrition as well as the mana to cast it.

Screenshot_9.png

I want to say the baby l was alseep because it didn't move at all when I moved, but it sure the hell will be awake now that I missed.

Screenshot_11.png

Little tip for anyone who want to play nethack. Drop or Bag your gold before you fight a leprechaun. It can't steal and teleport away what you don't have.

Screenshot_12.png

We kill it in one hit as you might expect from all these low level monsters.

Screenshot_13.png

It dropped us some gold and a scroll nice.

Screenshot_14.png

Going down we find a new scroll.

Screenshot_15.png

That blue ^ is the sleeping gas trap our pet stepped on.

Screenshot_16.png

Screenshot_17.png

And here a staple in Fansty game monsters a acid blob. They don't attack, but will react by splashing us with acid when we wack em in melee.

1584379883822.jpeg

While not even close I like to think it looks like the DQ slimes thats mainly because they so harmless. To die to a acid blob isn't being killed, that just assisted suicide and I have never seen it happen.

Also note while a acid blob corpse will rot away, it will never be too old to use with a alter before it completely rots.

Screenshot_18.png

Screenshot_19.png

It being acid it can mess up our armor and weapons if we happen to wear/wield things that acid can damage.
Acid has a few other uses but I'll bring those up if I ever use them.

Screenshot_20.png

Right outside that room in the hallway is this. It's a spiked ball on a chain connected to a wooden handle. Think of a mace but with more range.

Screenshot_21.png

Ohhh Money and a scroll, and more stuff to read on the ground.

Screenshot_22.png

Screenshot_23.png

Please amy don't spook me like that, I still remember that weird trap that makes you move, or else you will get hurt standing still for too long.

Screenshot_24.png

What? These scroll names.

Screenshot_25.png

We find a second friendly adventurer. And he shoots us with a named gem. Means a fake artifact gem or a artifact gem.

Are artifact gems a thing? I've never seen one.

Screenshot_26.png

Ouch that hurt.

Screenshot_27.png

Fuck this guy/girl we already have a pet one and this "friendly" adventure attacked us first.

Screenshot_28.png

Oh it had a wand.

Screenshot_29.png

Screenshot_30.png

So let me get this right. Higher range, but we can't see for shit.

Screenshot_31.png

Let's also pick up the gem that hit us.

Screenshot_32.png

Screenshot_33.png

You know what, Let's waste our last ID scroll on it.

Screenshot_34.png

Huh, I didn't know "gems" type items can be enchanted thats cool. Never had a reason to test that.

Screenshot_35.png

I don't think it's worthless I might try out the sling on floor 4.

Screenshot_36.png

(:_( Oh it's not a real artifact.

Screenshot_37.png

The hell? What hit me that I is think is where I got hit.

Screenshot_38.png

Damn Unseen things.

Screenshot_39.png

MY SCORE MY USELESS SCORE THAT DOESN'T MATTER BECAUSE THE CHANCE OF ME WINNING THIS VARIANT IS LOWER THEN 0.

Screenshot_40.png

This mean wars No glanceing at this fucker.
Screenshot_42.png

I have no idea what a duduct in it's name means but if it can scratch us it must have hands or something so here a yu-gi-ho monster.

300px-TurretWarrior-LC5D-EN-R-1E.png

Just pretend we killed this thing.

Under us is a
Screenshot_43.png

Neat.
Also because I forgot to look at our ring of sleeping.
Screenshot_44.png

Screenshot_45.png

Thats why I didn't put it on. It would be like having a sleeping gas trap under you every so often.

Screenshot_47.png

Down and to the right we spot another chest.

Screenshot_48.png

Screenshot_49.png

While we don't have the combo of role/race to spec into axes I'll keep it to knock down trees if we find more of them.
Screenshot_50.png

Screenshot_51.png

Screenshot_52.png

I also eat that lichen corpse I picked up a while back.

Screenshot_53.png

Screenshot_54.png

"They say that a musician can simply whistle the castle passtune without reqiring an instrument. "

Thats cool to know. 90% of the time I get to the castle I don't even bother with the passtune I just float to the backdoor and go in that way, it also makes it easier for me by funneling the people inside into a hallway.

Screenshot_55.png

Fogs? d is for canine Monster class in nethack Let's get a look at it.
Screenshot_56.png

No idea what the hell this is. I think this might be another reason why Slash'em extended might not have a tileset, one would have to bug amy a lot of some of these weirder named monsters on what the heck they are.

Let's head canon this. Fog Dogs. Dogs made of fog but they are very tiny so they just a ton of them together in one square.

1584387591264.jpeg

Pretend there some dogs in this fog.

Screenshot_57.png

Screenshot_58.png

Going down we find another unknown scroll.

Screenshot_59.png

and I get attacked when I open that door and enter it.

Screenshot_60.png

Screenshot_61.png

I guess it's a slo(w) ogre and thats why it's only a base level 1. In vanilla the lowest level orge is 5.
shrekexposed.jpg

Heres a picture of hitler shrek. No real reason why I picked this picture. I thought it was silly.

Screenshot_62.png

Call chris because it's touching a loli.

Screenshot_63.png

Screenshot_64.png

Oh look anther fake artifact.

Screenshot_65.png

Screenshot_66.png

Wait hold on artifact specs? IT'S REAL IT'S A REAL ARTIFACT. wow.

Sadly it's not something you want to wear as a spell caster.

Screenshot_67.png

Heres our Fail chance with out it on.
Screenshot_69.png

Screenshot_70.png

And here it is after. As you can see Our fail chance goes up a lot.

Screenshot_71.png

Also we getting hungery again.
Screenshot_72.png

The ogre wasn't going to use its corpse we might as well eat it.

Screenshot_73.png

Screenshot_74.png

Now we have lichen that stalks. This whole room is one big YIKES.

Screenshot_75.png

Wait did she always have one, or when I wasn't looking did she pick the one off the ground?

Screenshot_76.png

Atleast We can feel better about when I miss things that barely move or asleep.

Screenshot_77.png

Hey that was mine.

Screenshot_78.png

Lichen was next to this potion.

Screenshot_79.png

And next to this unlabeled scroll. If we find a Magic Marker we can make a scroll to ID more of us stuff.

Screenshot_80.png

Thats when I noticed a bag up here by the green room.

Screenshot_81.png

By Pressing a we can (a)pply things. Applying a bag opens it.

Screenshot_82.png

Screenshot_83.png

I'll keep the tooth in the bag for now.

Screenshot_84.png

Screenshot_85.png

Resist? I think. Sorry guys I havn't seen the non messed up version of this message yet. So your guess is as good as mine.

Screenshot_86.png

Towards the bottom white room on the right hand side we meet a naga who aims about as well as me and the adventurer does.

Screenshot_87.png

There quite a few nagas in vanilla game. Think of a person with the bottom half of a snake.
1584389959305.jpeg

Now think of it making snide remarks at us. That what I think the snide in it's name is for.

Head canon time. Any remarks it made would be towards how short a loli is.

Screenshot_88.png

I like this naga so I charmed it rather then kill it.

Screenshot_89.png

It had a elongated wand under it. OH oh no that makes the mind wander to dirty deviant thoughts doesn't it.
Let's engrave test it this, and the forked wand.

Screenshot_90.png

This is whywe always write something on the floor in the dust before we engrave test. In vanilla 3 wands (4 if the message you engrave was burned) and in slash'em extended 1 new wand shares this message, as well as normal slash'em having a wand with this effect on engraving. We wont know what the heck this wand does till we test it on a monster.
Many a fool's run has been lost when they accidently put a wand of cancel into a bag of holding because they forgot to engrave test it, and name it. :story:(:_(

Screenshot_91.png

This could be a one of six wands from vanilla, and 1 from slash'em (7 in total).

Looks like we got more testing with this one as well.

Side note: The I don't use the wand of death aside from it being a waste on these low level monster is in slash'em 20% chance to explode when it is cursed.

Screenshot_92.png

Before I head done to the next level here is wht level 3 looks like from what we have explored on it.

Screenshot_93.png

Oh Oh no Thats a lot of o.

extended is too fucking much and this is coming from someone who prefers vanilla SLASH'EM over standard nethack. keep going.

I have always had a soft spot for games/mods that take the kitchen sink apporch. It's why I still update the pokemon wack LP, and why when ever I play fallout NV it has to be so modded that the engine is on the verge of breaking. Atleast breaking more then it already is.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the races and classes. What the fuck is an Anachronounbinder? Or a Failed Existence? Why can you play as a Prostitute or a Social Justice Warrior?

What the hell is a 'hidden elf'? Why are 'gastly' and 'pokemon' different options? Is this a real game, or is this just some really elaborate prank you're pulling on the Games subforum?

It's real It even has a reddit.

Hell if you get a SSH client you can play it and other nethack varients on any of the many public servers.

I play offline not on a server so I can name the person I play as.

I might be a horrble person but this is too weird, too wacky, and too all over the place to be a prank by me.

Also
https://nethackwiki.com/wiki/Gastly It's not the pokemon gastly

This is bad news bears.

Screenshot_2.png

They are all snotlings meaning this is a type of monster that spawns in groups. Manes also do this but we saw a uncommon low number of them that one times. Pack jackles as the name implies tends to as well spawned in groups.

250

Thankfully these greenskins don't have any DAKKA.

Screenshot_3.png

And there will be no stair camping for this battle. We got to out play em.

Screenshot_4.png

The Plan will be to head towards that bottom left and funnel them into a corrdor.

Screenshot_6.png

Screenshot_7.png

Screenshot_8.png

Huh Door opened somewhere.

Screenshot_9.png

I would cast a spell but our mana is low, and these guys are not worth me testing to see if RNG wants that cursed wand to kill me.

Screenshot_10.png

It's always a good idea to try to corrdor any enemy that has numbers over you. Many a low HP role has died by being surrounded and beat up.

Screenshot_11.png

Screenshot_12.png

The Iron skull cap also would make it harder for us to cast spells so I wont even bother picking them up.

Screenshot_13.png

Looks like it's also a cloak of DEFLECTION.

Screenshot_14.png

Screenshot_15.png

Is it a dodge or did it just throw the dagger above our little loli head.

Screenshot_16.png

Might as well pick up a snack as well.

Screenshot_17.png

That is when it dawns on me Let's test that one wand. The one makes engraving disappare.

Screenshot_18.png

And they are gone. Huh so it's teleport, or invisble.

Screenshot_19.png

It's invisble.

Screenshot_20.png

Screenshot_21.png

Screenshot_22.png

By Hitting Shift N you can name one object or if you hit no

Screenshot_23.png

You name every copy of a item. In this case we are going to name every copy of the fork wand.

Screenshot_24.png

Screenshot_25.png

And let's also test to see if I am right about it being invisble by zapping myself.

Just like engraving by pressing period we aim at the spot we are standing on.

Screenshot_26.png

Yup this proves I was right it is a wand of make invisble and this auto ID it now.

Most wands should auto ID when used the right way, or if you see a enemy use them the right way.

Digging, fire, lightning, create monster, ect all auto id on engrave. Just a small tip If you are completely unsure just ID it by identify scroll. You will save yourself from accidently fucking yourself over.

Screenshot_27.png

Awww yeah level 5, that means we got some more mana to work with.

Screenshot_28.png

Screenshot_29.png

Screenshot_30.png

Screenshot_31.png

Still one invisble snotling left.
Screenshot_32.png

Screenshot_33.png

I pick up a second snack. The reason it says 800 rather then 400 is it will put together the weight of all items in a stack. so two snotlings is 800.
Screenshot_35.png

Thats one.
Screenshot_36.png

And the other one sadly was rotten. Given I mainly play vanilla I've never see that status effect for BURN.

Screenshot_37.png

See that status on the bottom right. No idea what it does.

Screenshot_39.png

Not taking a chance will use a scroll of cure to get rid of it.

Screenshot_40.png

I also waited a few turns upstairs to bring our tame adventurer down with us. I've grown slightly attached to her.

Screenshot_41.png

Going up we already found the downstairs. Wait what is that double arrow?

Screenshot_42.png

Hold on let me check the wiki.

Screenshot_1.png

Oh Nice.

340

I like to think it looks like LockUp from banjo kazooie. Any of you guys played that N64 game? I always liked the first over the second one.

Screenshot_43.png

Let's eat it.

Screenshot_44.png

Checking after I made all the screenshots for this update I think it boosted Rika's HP by 1. Even a small boost is good for a spellcaster.

Screenshot_45.png

Oh a cookie.

Screenshot_46.png

Screenshot_47.png

If it's blessed it's will always be a True rumor, Cursed is always a false rumor, and Uncursed is random which of the two you will get.
Rumors tend to be one of the ways to get hints for people who don't want to be spoiled by reading stuff from the wiki.

Screenshot_48.png

Locked door. If you don't have any keys, credit cards, or wands/spells that unlock doors.

Screenshot_49.png

You can just kick it open. DO NOT KICK OPEN SHOP DOORS. Thats a sure fired way to get a YASD.

Screenshot_50.png

Oh a k.
Screenshot_51.png

The good old standard kobold monster. Note that it says it's Poisonous. Eatting the corpse with out Resistance to Poison has a chance to drain your strength. Always make sure if you play slash'em extended to glance at the monsters if you havn't seen them before so you don't accidently eat a corpse that can has a negetive effect like this. In Vanilla You would just need to check the wiki, or make your own notes. No idea if other varients show you this much Info on glanceing.

Screenshot_52.png

Very push over type of monster.

Screenshot_53.png

Above that room, we have more stuff to read.

Screenshot_54.png

For anyone wondering about these weird messages.

No idea how many more silly, true, false Messages amy has added so always expect to see weird stuff.

Screenshot_55.png

Empty room, let's go up.

Screenshot_56.png

Fun Fact I've had a few runs in vanilla 3.4.3 where I had way too blessed genocide scrolls so I genocided R monsters out of spite. R in vanilla is Rust monster, and the Discenchanter. Let's see what slash'em extended added to it.

Screenshot_57.png

Huh weird a armadillo, I find it weird it's under R so let's pretend it's not a normal armadillo.

1584466764520.jpeg

Any of you remember Mighty the armadillo? No just me?

Screenshot_58.png
No one will remember that forgettable sonic friend now.

Screenshot_59.png

Screenshot_60.png

Oh Hey G for gnome.

Screenshot_61.png

OH HO HO HO HO HAH. HELLO THERE ME OLD CHUM.

I AM GNOT A GELF, I AM GNOT A GNOMBLIN, I AM A GNOME AND YOU'VE BEEN.

671

GNOMED!

Screenshot_62.png

No one liks a gnome.

Screenshot_63.png

Screenshot_64.png

I wonder if it tastes like stale memes.

Screenshot_65.png

I wont risk equiping them not knowing if they cursed or not.

Screenshot_66.png

Heading to the white room we spot that thing.

Screenshot_67.png

When I think of jelly monster I think of
tenor.gif

JELLY JIGGLER
BoBoBo was such a good anime. Anyone

Screenshot_68.png

You might noticed this is purpled colored stairs it lead to a branch, let's check it out.

Screenshot_69.png

Oh the gnome mines. Let's not. Also I am not sure if it's random or replaces mines, but a few times I've seen a Space Station Branch rather then Mines. Never have made it to the end of that one, nor the mines in Extended.

Screenshot_70.png

Going down we find a scroll nice.

Screenshot_71.png

There is only one type of scroll I know that does this.
Screenshot_72.png

Scare monster scrolls have a set amount of times you can pick them up off the ground I think Cursed ones are always set to dust on first pick up.

Screenshot_73.png

Hmm let's go down.

Screenshot_74.png

We find a shop, and

Screenshot_75.png

Maybe it's a joke on wight monster No idea. That or we are fighting a Paper Weight being controlled by a ghost. Note it's vegan.

I can't find a good joke image for this so heres a random song I like to listen to.

Screenshot_76.png

Screenshot_77.png

We got nothing to dig but that tech, I'll rather not waste it.

Screenshot_78.png

Oh yeah we are still invisble. This could be a problem unless we find some mummies. Mummies have a high chance to drop mummy wrapping. It uses the cloak slot but makes you visble if invisble. Oh well let's go explore that last room. It's that small green towards the right mid.

Screenshot_79.png

Or get stopped by 2 gnomes on our ways to it.

Screenshot_80.png

I hate gnomes.

Screenshot_81.png

Here we see a hobbit.I forget to glance at it, but it's gnome levels of harmless.

Screenshot_82.png

Screenshot_83.png

Note it was just my pet adventure hitting it and the hobbit thought the Loli watching was more impoant to attack.
Screenshot_84.png

She hits it for once.

In the end I get bored and kill it I didn't feel like screen capping the "You killed it"
Screenshot_85.png

Screenshot_86.png

It's likely worthless but always worth keeping.

Screenshot_87.png

Right above that room I take a detour and find a monster and more stuff written on the ground.

Screenshot_91.png

"Drugs" So Messages written in dust/blood have a chance to get messed up when moving onto it's space.

Screenshot_89.png

1584469545147.jpeg

There a website for fungal growths Neat. Pick which one you think we are killing.

Screenshot_90.png

Okay thats not something you see everyday. I kill it in the end.

Screenshot_92.png

Also on my way to the last room I find a statue trap in the corrdor I somehow missed. See that c that used to be a statue. Statue traps make what ever statue it was spawned with come to life if you get closed.

Screenshot_93.png

Thank god that it doesn't have a stoning attack like vanilla monsters in the Cockatrice class.

1584469833630.jpeg

Screenshot_94.png

No mercy.

Screenshot_95.png

Another detor leads me to another room I didn't check before.

Screenshot_96.png

Like other molds passive attack. Note it says Reviving.

Screenshot_97.png

Screenshot_98.png

No problem killing it.

Screenshot_99.png

I try to eat it to gain fire or Posion reist but it revives.

Screenshot_100.png

This time my pet steals the corpse and eats it. Ya asshole. If I didn't like you so much I would Avada Kedavra your ass.

Screenshot_101.png

Clear potions are never random in a sense. They can be generated with a random B/U/C but in every run they will always be water.

Screenshot_102.png

Hey this is the second time we have seen this scroll. GAMBLE TIME Let's read it.

Screenshot_103.png

We will do the C one first, and if the scroll isn't a bad idea to read we will then read the T one.

Screenshot_104.png

Neat.

Screenshot_103.png

We can pick a item in our inv to try to ID. I'll ID the scrolls first.

Screenshot_105.png

Thank god I didn't read which ever one was this. Amnesia is no joke you forget items you have already ID'ed and parts of maps. Vanilla is changeing this next update to make it refund you skill levels in weapons/spells. I like amy will miss the way it works like it does now.
Screenshot_106.png

I also read the other scroll. Notice it auto id'ed a item meaning it will try to auto ID all our unId'ed inv.

Screenshot_107.png

Screenshot_108.png

I wont bore you with the rest of the messages but Notice we got our first Resist to IDing. As I said before in Slash'em extended Items have a chance that is random each run to resist your IDing by scrolls.

Screenshot_109.png

Screenshot_110.png

Thats our Inv after it got done. You can see what items resisted the Id-ing.

Screenshot_112.png

This room is a disappointment.

Screenshot_113.png

Thankfully no dragons in this room. Dragons are no joke for Low level players. Once you get leveled and geared they become a joke.

Screenshot_114.png

It's time to end this update and go to the next floor.

Screenshot_115.png

Also here what floor 4 looks like before heading to 5.

Screenshot_116.png

This is for people who want to see what it looks like completely then the little snap shots I tend to give.

(edit) Because I am planning to keep the tamed friendly adventurer What should we name her? All names are fine by me.
