Litigation Fund

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I'm not complaining at all, I'm actually very excited by this news, but how the fuck did this happen? Do we have some celebrities who are secret kiwis? Maybe Mutahar from SomeOrdinaryGamers, who, as we know, is extremely rich and can be sued for a million dollars (as claimed by mamamax). Who's your tinfoil big name kiwi?
You're seeing the same kind of effect that blindsided Hillary Clinton and the democrats back in 2016 -- there are many people with varying amounts of wealth and influence who are completely and utterly silent until just the right moment. Politically this is called the "silent majority" -- people who hold similar beliefs but don't rock the boat or make their feelings known to anybody. They just act (and vote) without discussion. Many people supported Trump and saw the potential consequences of doing so publicly, so they just stayed quiet and voted for him.

There's plenty of us here who get pretty loud and boisterous about this bullshit, but there are plenty more who stay quiet but get just as pissed as we vocal ones do. They may not post, but if they get annoyed enough they're more than willing to start flashing Benjamins. And strange as it sounds, most niche communities (regardless of size) tend to have at least a handful of whales lurking around.

No other website makes me laugh like KF, no other website made me feel more welcomed than KF, no other website has such nice going and level-headed jannies, there is no other website like KF. I donated $410 (image amount in MXN) for your past, present and future perils dear feeder.

I'm working on sending one of those paper thingies and I wanted to confirm the Pay To: line.
The donate/mail page just says the law office name. Should it simply be payable to the law office or is there some other information needed for the payee or memo field to make sure it's marked for the Lolcow LLC Litigation Fund?

I put for the payee "The Law Office of Matthew D. Hardin, PLLC" and "Lolcow Legal Fund" in the memo line.

Some clarification from @Null on the page would be much appreciated.

Imagine a troon--useless, broke, unsuccessful, unable to live a good life. Say they find a group they consider so horrible, they loudly declare them to be the exact antithesis of themselves. What is the opposite of a broke, unsuccessful troon?

There's a double effect here: this is a site big on anonymity, opsec, and hiding your PL. Everyone with someone to lose has an extra incentive not to come here and say how great they're doing, and how much money they have. It doesn't even get you clout on KF, you'll get negrated into spergatory.

Many people are here because the sites where we would normally be loud now tracks our personal information, and risks leaking our identity to an online mob who doesn't hesitate to ruin opponents' lives with lies. Josh can't even get people to give out a phone number for Telegram, that's how silent the wrongthinkers are forced to be.

And now there's a chance for those people a way to directly help, anonymously. (They always could with crypto, but still.)

This is one of the last genuine style Web 1.0 discussion forums left, that actually lives the ethos rather then skin suit of what came before. Stands to reason then that there are alot of older millennials and younger Gen X here who are well into their careers and have money to spend on pet concerns.
