CI Games really should have called it something else but I guess a sequel to a tainted IP is better than a new IP entirely. The first attempt at a sequel got tossed out a long time ago and the studio fired. This endeavor is apparently from a new studio.

It comes out in a month.

These are the most representative clips I could find. The first shows the hub and the second briefly shows the title screen and character creator.

I think all three of these were taken from gamescom. It's unclear if they were of the most recent build. There are some spots that clearly run like shit. The devs seem to be open to feedback - people complained about the hit and audio feedback and it was addressed as of the most recent footage.

Regardless, I'm fairly optimistic. The Soul Reaver gimmick is neat and the visual aesthetic is much more distinct and appealing than the first.

Edit: found this video and it provided a few details that I've not seen touched on anywhere else. Apparently there's a little meter that fills up while you're in the umbral realm and eventually it starts throwing enemies at you that presumably get tougher the longer you stay. Also, it's confirmed that it's a soft reset. Game takes place a thousand years later and there are lore tidbits about the first game.

Some streamer fags got promo copies. The only new things I've noticed is just how mobile the player character is but also how slow the default camera speed is. I'm gonna assume you can change that.

Gameranx has a 'before you buy'...

TLDR is its a sequel to dark souls. The game is giant and inter connected. at one point the reviewer had 5 different paths to explore. Enemies can feel uninspired but its a classic 'dark souls' game with a rewarding exploration system despite it not being open world.

The 'two world' thing ends up creating an interesting dynamic both for exploration and combat.

Cautiously optimistic for this one but I don't know, after 300 hours of Elden Ring I'm kind of burnt out on Souls combat.

We'll have to see. Worth a Buy and Fextralife who I generally trust have given it high praise but I'm not sure if that's because it's actually good or because we're all starved for Souls shit since nothing good has come out since Elden Ring.

Good news this got cracked early.

Unless someone in the scene is memeing and released the old one just now I guess.
Someone tell me if they see a bone fist analogue somewhere. I want to dropkick women out of the monastery since no women are allowed in it.

Just released on Steam, already mostly negative. Seems to run like ass.

Have to change both Reflection & Global Illumination quality to Medium to get anything really going.

Lol they released some community sneedpost about performance and crashing.
They shilled Biomutant constantly and it sucked so I just assume their praise is bought these days.
Fextralife is the worst going all the way back to their inception. No matter the game, they're in such a rush to fill in their wiki it's often loaded with incorrect/incomplete information. It stays that way for months if not forever.

Wikis require autism. One dedicated autist is worth 10,000 normie editors.

The problem is, once again, that autism has been captured by LGBT, so nowadays the power of autism is misdirected.

Is that the same Illusory Wall that does Dark Souls Dissected?

Case in point, his Twitter:

Look, we already established he's probably autistic. With that knowledge, him being a rainbow wasn't too far behind.
We used to snipe him, the rest of the dark souls reddit mod tard brigade, and all those soulbrant peckernecks back during the DS1 heyday. Shame to learn he's a fag.
Illusory Wall's OG wiki still remains the best and kind of sad it's been a decade and none have even come close with 1000x the people viewing and contributing.
The Bloodborne Wiki is about as good as the wikidots. Dunno who maintains it. Probably some reddit blockheads.
