A good deal of issues in modern society stem from uncomfortable truths being ignored. Violent crime is a good example of this. America spiked in violent crime due to large quantities of blacks moving into urban areas during the 1960s. There's a good book titled "the rise and fall of violent crime in America" that discusses this along with statistics.

Instead of acknowledging the issue, progressives ignore it and pretend that the reason blacks go to prison in higher rates is due to systemic racism. This has led to radical crime reform in ultra libreal states like California and New York, which has in turn led to more violent crime.
The current "population collapse" as some would refer to it is another good example of this. The obvious cause for the population decreasing, is government programs + equity jobs have given women more independence, thus there's less need to marry a man in exchange for resources like in the past. Since there is no easy way to acknowledge this issue, politicians instead blame pornography. There's a strong desire among certain groups to ban pornography because they claim that it's "making men lazy." This of course is idiotic. Pornography in a society where the majority of young men are single, is arguably a good means of preventing a large rise in violent and sexual crimes. We already know that the rate of rapes massively decreased after internet porn became popular.
I can only imagine how much worse the rate would be if you somehow found a way to ban pornography. (Which is virtually impossible)
Men not watching porn is not going to make them magically attractive to women and save the birth rates.
Another truth that has only recently become uncomfortable, is the fact that being overweight is unhealthy. This is specifically in regards to women.
There's been a massive overcorrection in response to certain anorexic trends of the 2000s. Acknowledging that obesity/being overweight is unhealthy is now a massive taboo. Most men nowadays, have been brainwashed into believing that overweight women have natural and healthy bodies. So even addressing that a certain weight is objectively overweight is a current day blasphemy.

There's even a large abundance of pseudo science that has immerged claiming being overweight is actually healthier than being skinny. Oftentimes on social media, you see actual healthy women being accused of either looking like a child or being anorexic. Good example below

Modern society is being destroyed by an inability to acknowledge uncomfortable truths. You cannot correct a problem if you do not address the cause.
