The cow finally got glasses. Lucas used to wear glasses for a long time till they got lost. He has admitted that his eyesight is quite poor. One video he was talking about asking some Gen Z guy what soda was on a label at Taco Bell or somewhere and the Gen Z guy wouldn't give him an answer, that bigot. Lucas had to ask someone cause he could not see well enough to read the label.

For a while not having glasses was Lucas's excuse for not having a job. But then Lucas got his job at Walmart. Honestly, his poor vision probably negatively effected his job performance.

There are some online prescription glasses retailers so cheap that I've purchased glasses for as little as $11 shipped, so he doesn't even need to get into co-pays and such. He just would rather have a burrito than the power of sight.

Medicare, Medicaid covers the eye exam and the eyeglasses up to a certain amount . If he were to get more expensive frames/lenses (transition,etc) he'd have to pay the difference out of pocket. He is just lazy and irresponsible at keeping up with his vision care.

I knew what I wanted when I was in my 20's and I think most men are like me. You spend the early part of that decade getting out into the real world and getting your feet underneath you. You kinda figure out how the world works and you stop letting your dick do all the thinking for you. It still gets a vote, but it isn't a dictatorship anymore (see what I did there?).

Once that bit of maturity happened, I knew where I wanted to be and how I wanted my life to go. There were set backs and there were struggles, but you weather those and you persist on. Of course there are minor course corrections, but you keep moving the ball towards the goal.

In your late 20's most people know how they're going to earn a living for the rest of their lives (at least what profession they will practice).

I'm not far off from Lucas's age and I can safely say that I'm established (as are most of my peers). I'm not living paycheck to paycheck, I'm not questioning what I should do for a living. I have a wife, a house, kids, cars, hobbies and friends (most of those I picked up in my 20's or 30's).

The only real change when between my 30's and 40's is that I have more gray hair and hangovers last longer.

This brings us to Lucas. He's not established. He doesn't have any long term goals aside from engaging in disgusting sex acts with a woman half his age (if not younger). There's no career goals, nor a lifestyle nor experiences that he aspires to. (I don't count marrying a barely legal teen and trying to get a place in the projects as a goal).

It's amazing watching him struggle to explain why a woman should date an older man, much less himself. He's fumbling with words and lacks so much confidence when he's mooing to the camera on a patio. I argued that there are very little cultural commonalities between me and a 20 year old woman and that we were in very different places in our lives.
