It's an alright game series. Just wouldn't play the games more than once

I haven't played the second game, but the first one is seriously underrated. Yes, it's a bit short, but I love the atmosphere and the mansion environment. I didn't know there was a third game until now, so that's pretty cool news.

I didn't play much of the first game, but I did 100% the second one. They're both alright.

I absolutely love the first, I've played it tons of times. The second wasn't as interesting to me but I'd like to pick it back up again and try to play it all the way through. It was cool, but it just makes me want to replay the first again. I'll totally get the third when it comes out.

I've played through the GameCube version numerous times, but never played the remake or the second game. Will pick up the third game though.

I really like the first game, but the 3DS sequel is a complete skip. By the time your through the first area you have all the abilities and seen all the ghosts for the rest of the game(or the next area or 2 until I dropped it). So it feels like one long first level.

I'll be very interested if I hear 3 is good, but I'm hesitant at the moment.

Also, you missed one:

There is an arcade version, I played it at a Dave and Buster's. It was alright, it's got a nice haptic feedback so you can feel the ghosts and coins when you suck them in. It's a big money sink, but if you encounter it in the wild, I say give it a whirl.

why the fuck does luigi have a mansion, let alone 3? why'd he buy 3 haunted ones? how much money does this italian plumber have?

It's probably possible for you to beat it in a single day if you just play it without doing anything else.
I would like to take a moment to say fuck Sir Weston and he should die in a fire if he wasn't already dead.
Sir Weston, Henry and Orville, along with the Clockwork Soldiers and Vincent Van Gore can all fucking eat a dick, especially the Clockwork Soldiers.

Speaking from experience, if you don't worry about getting every last cent/gold portrait frames you'll get through it in about 3 hours.

Henry and Orville, along with the Clockwork Soldiers
The trick to them is to suck them up one by one carefully, and to stop and dodge if necessary. If you're aiming for medium/large pearls/the gold frame you just make sure to save the one that drops the pearls for last. For Henry and Orville you suck up the twin driving the car first. For the Clockwork Soldiers, save the one that was standing in the middle for last. I personally tend to have more trouble with the twins since the small room makes it difficult to avoid the flying twin, but your experience might differ.

Lol git gud
I know. But I just can't get a perfect pull on Sir Weston no matter what I do. *sigh*

why in the name of fucking god is dark moon STILL broken in citra 8 years later jesus fucking christ
