Maddy McCann case extended AGAIN. - Crime pays if you're media friendly.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leicestershire-39246538

I'm sure you all know the story. If not, middle class white family leaves kid alone to get pissed in a middle class way and their eldest daughter goes missing. The news eats that shit up.

Either way, the taxpayers of the UK just paid £85,000 so the police can have a jolly in Portugal, £85,000 that could have been spent on solving burglaries and actual fucking crime rather than one where everyone knows who did it but nothing gets done.

But I'm admittedly biased, what are you lot's thoughts on this case?

Connections!

but seriously I think we haven't heard the full story from the parents.

FFS this shit again, there was an accident when she was left alone with her younger siblings she died and her folks disposed of the body so they didn't get labeled bad parents and loose there other kids and jobs (both where doctors).

Personally, I think her parents were in on whatever happened to her. They've been acting pretty shadily imho.

As I said they disposed of the body after she was already dead through their neglect (the hotel had child minding facilities and neither of the parents wanted to pay the €50 to do it) because they were at a restaurant 100 meters away. The poor kid acted like a kid and died through misadventure and for their own selfish reasons they have acted like cunts.

But after the fact as you said they have been acting really really sketchy, money from the Maddie fund has gone missing, been used to pay off the mortgage on the house they have an that's just the tip of iceberg. I think that in the next 5 - 10 years time it will all fall apart one of them will want a divorce or something or a farmer will find something in a local field that points to the family being involved and they will get dragged through the court of public opinion again and possibly a longer trial.

Honestly, losing your kid must be one of the worst things ever, but sometimes things just don't get cleared up. It sucks but there's hundreds of cases like this. At least they know they're missing. They are also tons of Jane / John Doe cases that have their families think they're still alive when they're not.

All things considered, I think I'd prefer closure to this lingering, probably false hope that someone I cared about might still be out there.
