making an am4 bracket cooler fit on am3

so mine old cooler gave up and decided to work in half, the replacement (gammax 300 fury) i brought was listening am3+ but it does fucking not, any way i could change the bracket or modify this shit to fit on my demented processor?

after wee bit of lurking i found out am3 bracket is a thing for this thing and there's even a instruction including am3+

does anyone knows name of metallic bitch on 2? i think there's a surplus of them on internet markets so i could finally find solution to this torture

You could find someone to print it for you, even on Facebook. Deadass. Your local library may even have one you could use.

Since it already has the proper bracket you can contact the manufacturer and get one for free probably. I had to do that one with a last gen cooler I had, they will do it if you contact support, just takes a 2-4 weeks to arrive in the mail.

the lil issue is that its russia outdoors so i've been busy wondering what's the thing so i could at least lurk about it and see if they're sold

i can see AM4 to AM3 brackets with same proportions on autocads though so i might see if its really possible albeit unlikey

You may be able to check aliexpress. What you're looking for is just called a CPU fan retainer bracket base, it has no specific name afaik. Look for your specific cooler, see if someone has the AM3+ bracket for that cooler for sale, they might.

Good luck buddy, sorry you can't just ask the manufacturer.
 
Does it come with a metal backplate where the holes just don't align with the AM3 socket? Might try just using a drill to fix the issue. It worked for an old Cooler master cooler on an old core 2 quad system I had once.

Also are AM4 systems really that unobtainable in Russia to the point where it's better to stick with something as outdated as AM3? Used Ryzen 1000's can go for as little as $50, at least here they do.

ya that, iunno how i will drill thru this one though

am4/5 is perfectly accessible though the issue is the price, because a 8 core ryzen 7 will hit like 24k which is like 1/3 of a paycheck minimum, slavs have a deadass cult of AMD purely because since always it was cheaper than amd and its motherboards twice as besides not burning/throtlling as most of chinal intel production does

The cooler in my old pc died to and I've run into at least 3 cooler that online say am3 compatible but once I go to the store the box only says am4 and amd5. My guess is people are basically combining all the different generations of the model of cooler into one listing.
 
Flip the computer, place the tower cooler on the CPU without brackets when put a tall boy on top to apply pressure.
