A family outing at Yuletide.

Malfoid and Harry’s relationship ... It wouldn’t be the anime trope of her being antagonistic with the audience given the dramatic irony of knowing her true feelings when other characters don’t, but she would probably be just outright hostile until the after the third book, with things cooling off until the sixth book (the events of which bring Harry and Malloy to some kind of understanding, even if they never actually end up liking each other) before just making her a part of the team for the last book.
Do you have any idea how much old slash and het fanfic you're reproducing here?

Will there be an inflection point where the swarthy gooning masses overflow the levees and splash all over the largely unsexualized nature of it? Yes, there is a time limit, but until then, let us have something that isn't measured by sex position tags like everything else.
No, there is no time limit. NSFW is not necessarily in an antagonistic relationship with SFW. If anything, it's rivalous: in competition, but the competition fuels more interest.

I forget who said this, but someone noted that Tolkien's LoTR would be dead by now if a certain small but critical group of fans hadn't kept him and his work alive. I just read Poul Anderson's The Broken Sword, original 1953 version. It's a compelling vision of Faerie well apart from Dunsany or Tolkien, more grounded, more pulpy and brutal, yet it its own way just as literate, just as soaked in the past.

But it's not very famous at all. If you want to keep good, but the less sexually explicit Malfoid (and like) material current, you need that small, critical group of fans to search out, find, and unceasingly promote it. I'm not sure people on the center-right are ready enough to endure the "gooner" slurs from another part of the right to do that work.

(You can see the same dynamic with Fuentes trying to displace the traditional right base.)

No. Fanfiction is (pejoratively) gay and a major factor in why all modern media is poorly written.
The Aeneid is commissioned fanfic with the commissioner's self-insert written in. The Divine Comedy is a self-insert fanfic (of the Aeneid, at least partially) that features a girl the author crushed on, and where all the people the author disliked are burning in Hell.

Fanfics are perfectly fine when written for fun or as a way of practicing your writing without having to take the time to plan out your world in advance. The only issue is when writers arrest their development at that point.
