I always wondered which family had more money, the Potters or the Malfoys? Although the economics in HP are messy and aren't meant to be really thought too hard about... I’ve seen it both ways. Leaving them guys kind of gives the.”hired goons” aspect more weight since Malfoid is a little rich bitch, but having them as a mean, girl clique has been done a lot too. They’re making them all girls kind of takes away from the physical threat of bullying

I feel like Crabbe and Goyle being her simps works better, because they play off the central hook. Potter told her "No" and refused to do what she told him. While Crabbe and Goyle just lick her shoes on command. Lady Malfoy can't help but compare the servile bootlicker simps to the man that stood up to her.

I feel most drawn to something in between. Somewhere along the lines of 'our families have always been close so we grew up together and Dracina has always been the brains of the operation so we do whatever she says but we see her as a bratty sister and want whatever will genuinely make her happy', maintaining the dumb muscle aspect while side-stepping shitty unrequited love tension and providing room for unexpected depth.
