"Mad" Minerva McGonagall
"Professor Napalmagall"

"You know why they call her Mc-GONE-a-GALL, Harry? Her specialty was sneaking into the Red base camps at night, forty miles deep into the jungle Harry, and removing their gall bladders without a sound..."
“Mr. Potter you are to stop seeing Miss Chang at once! I did not fight those slant eyed bastards in Korea and Malaysia just to watch my countrymen fall for their oriental wiles. Do you know why she has no family in China Mr. Potter? It all started when I got separated from my unit in Korea…”

"Do you know where I was in 1943, Mr. Potter? I was in the depths of Nurmengard Castle, killing Grindelwald's minions around every corner. It was the height of the war, Mr. Potter, and Grindelwald was going to release magic pictures of himself and Dumbledore in highly compromising situations... we had to destroy those pictures, Harry, we couldn't let Dumbledore be disgraced like that as a former lover of the enemy himself. Morale would have been destroyed... we had to win the war, Harry, and if truth became a casualty, so be it."

Troons don't even ask you to stop revitalizing she-who-should-not-be-named's dead IP with cool content anymore. They just stare at you like this.

I find myself curious what Minerva got up to during her time with MI-6
tbh agent Hellfire McGonagall is a lot more fun than Malfoid

"...You're not thinking of reviving Merlyn's dream?"

"From today, call this place... Outer Hogwarts."

This is the SHIT. Love it.

Clarification on worthwhile content: the only clearly canon things are the seven main books and the Tales of Beedle the Bard compilation of five fables. You can possibly also consider the Quidditch through the Ages and Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them books (which come with fun doodles and annotations from Harry and Ron), but I’m not sure if these are supposed to be taken as the actual class textbooks as they’re rather thin, and the Fantasic Beasts book got a revision to throw in stuff from the first spinoff movie. The Fantastic Beasts movies, The Cursed Child, and any other information on any of JKR’s websites can be safely discarded as not worth being canon. I’m not sure about Hogwarts Legacy as I haven’t played it. No wizard schools are mentioned in the canonical material aside from Beauxbatons (the French one) and Durmstrang (somewhere in Eastern Europe), and the most we get about non-English nations is that Bulgaria has a national Quidditch team and that some guy called Ali Bashir keeps bothering Arthur Weasley to get a ban on flying carpets lifted. Nothing else matters because this is a British story.

I haven't picked these books up since I entered middle school. Were they even religious? I do not recall.
The last book was both structurally and thematically centered around a bible verse, albeit not one expressly about Jesus and salvation. At the very least, they were non-hostile towards Christianity, and "magic" in-universe is more like natural law rather than consorting with demons to obtain power.
In modern pop literature, you had Aviendah, from the Wheel of Time for example. But again, this is a bad example because Robert Jordan had moved firmly into the Porn camp and his romance plots were very pornographic. And not monogamous in the slightest. Rand Al Thor ends up with three wives and fucks many more. Jordan does play around with the idea between Perrin and Faile, but he loses the plot on that fairly quickly (much like he loses every other plot as his story becomes too big to write).

And even with that, Wheel of Time was started in the 1980s. Its hardly new stuff. So this one meme has triggered a reaction because it essentially lit a candle in a dark void that has been sitting in popular culture for decades now.
Nyanaeve was the better tsundere. She reads a lot better if you re-read the books as an adult rather than as a teenager. Instead of the killjoy group mom, she's a young woman thrust into a position of responsibility she wasn't prepared for, and lacking the authority the position should have carried because of her age; it's no surprise she's frantically trying to hold everything together and strung out as a result (until she gets a proper release after getting married and immediately chills out).

I would pay to see someone melting down over Malfoid get replies like "Why is this upsetting you so much? I thought you lot hated Harry Potter now and gave up on the fandom because of Rowling? So why do you care if other people still enjoy it and are making up new fanfics about it? How does this affect you in any way? Just ignore it and go find something you enjoy. MALFOID WASN'T MADE FOR YOU!" and all the other smug comments Lefties have been making anytime someone complains about modern audience faggot and tranny shit in video games, movies, comics, etc. See them absolutely lose their shit when their own words and tactics are used against them
I have had everything taken from me as a fan. All of us have. Now it is the Left's turn. This is now the new standard. Every franchise you take, we shall claim one in return. They will beg for it to stop like we did- and will receive no quarter just as we did. Deal with Malfoid bish. It isn't going anywhere.

My own church felt the need to explore the books just because of how many kids were reading it. Thats precisely the conclusion they came too., in that the Magic of Harry Potter was not ritualistic. It was simply a manifestation of universal principles akin to how setting a match to gasoline causes fire.

"POTTER IT IS YOUR DUTY AS A FULL BLOODED MAGE TO KEEP THE MAGIC ALIVE. WE DO WHAT WE MUST BECAUSE WE CAN, POTTER.

Also I have a few name suggestions for the next one."

"Why did you never marry, Professor McGonagall? Have a family?"

"The battlefield was my real love, Miss Malfoid. High-Magic Special Wizards Unit HELL-FIRE was my family. Until... Be thankful you have Mr. Potter. Your love bloomed on the battlefield, and it did not tear you apart like it did myself and... well. I envy you. Let's leave it at that."

The more I learn about Harry Potter lore the more I'm disappointed in how Rowling was so uneducated about history. In the time it took me to smoke a cig I had already come up with a pitch for a Cold War era spy thriller in the HP universe. Imagine a WWII era series with SS wizards.
I always felt like American Wizards would have been a more rambunctious bunch and rather then having a structured government it would truly be a libertarian paradise in that everyone knows everyone else is armed so they dont mess with each other's business. The only true official would be be "The Sheriffs department" where a powerful witch or wizard would be elected by their peers to enforce "the law". "The law""would also be pretty basic (no murder, stealing, etc) with frontier justice for those who get on the wrong side of the Sheriff and his deputies.

Instead what we got in fantastic beasts was pretty much more of the same. The Magical Congress was 1 for 1 interchangeable with the Ministry of Magic.
