What's this new alt-right thing being used by people lately? I've seen it in Hillary articles talking about the evil alt-right

4channers, Breitbart comments and Gamergaters. The "anyone who disagrees with me is a SJW cuck" crowd.
I don't know if it's actually a real thing or not, but it's the left's newest buzzword.

Vordrak was already permabanned and put on the "do not unblock" list, so I'm not sure what Mark thinks Wikipedia should be doing in addition to that.

Vordrak was already permabanned and put on the "do not unblock" list, so I'm not sure what Mark thinks Wikipedia should be doing in addition to that.

We know from his Trolls page (http://archive.is/3BkhQ) that he wants to drastically limit anonymity on the Internet, and I suspect that he is interested in manipulating the Wikimedia Foundation into supporting him. More immediately, I think he wants Wikipedia to identify when a contributor is part of the illegitimate Other, to reject contributions from the Other, and suspend normal process when resolving disputes involving the Other. If all Mark wanted was to be free from the nefarious forces of "the trolls" he would find a nice hugbox wiki to edit, but he recognizes the significance of Wikipedia and he wants it.

I think it is noteworthy that in his Trolls document, Mark uses two people as examples that use their real names, in order to warn against the danger posed by anonymous trolls, while he protects the anonymity of Requires Hate. You might think that Mark is just being stupid, but in reality Mark is using the specter of trolls to air grievances that he has harbored for decades.

Jorn Barger (an interesting eccentric in his own right) and Mark Bernstein had arguments on various newsgroups for years.

I think that Mark acts in bad faith and holds grudges forever, so even if the Wikimedia Foundation could appease him, he would still be at it. "Let me tell you about the time the Wikimedia Foundation did nothing to keep anonymous trolls from blackmailing contributors."
