This is the same practice as introducing DLC and microtransactions to a game one week after reviews are out. You hold back the negative content and then wait for positive reviews. Then immediately begin patching in content that was withheld from official reviews to bypass the game getting a lower score.

I'm back playing ME2 on Insanity after a month of hiatus. I hate how mentally challenged your AI squadmates can be. They are a waste of medi-gel.

The only thing that makes this claim hold water is that a precedent has already been set in the gaming industry to pull off stuff like this. Was it... the Baldur's Gate 3 devs? That inserted gender identity options AFTER launch? Not sure if it was them, but I remember this story.

That by far my biggest issue with the ME games. I wonder how it would be if you could switch between the companions like the other Bioware games. It probably wouldn't work well in ME2 and 3 seeing how they're just shooters but it might help with how useless they can be sometimes.

ME2 combat is just jank all around. At least in ME1 you had plenty of room to fool around and way more varied biotic and tech options. I say this as someone who's played ME2 plenty of times over in both hardcore and insanity.
There's an oversight with the incisor sniper rifle which does not get damage penalties, so if you bring Garrus or Zaeed have them equip it and watch stuff die. They didn't fix this for the LE.

I know in ME3 your companions only do 50% damage with their guns, and it wouldn't shock me if ME2 was similar.

This is not the first time I have noticed this in games (not Mass Effect specifically), and it is horrifically insidious. They allow you to form an emotional connection to the story and characters so that you reluctantly accept the woke poisoning afterwards. Honestly, it can even make certain individuals more accepting of woke stuff in general, as they then have a nostalgic/emotional reason to find similar content 'heartwarming' or reminiscent of what they already like.

I'm sure there were, I just can't think of any notable examples.
I am doubtful this "leak" is true, not because it doesn't make sense, but because the emotionally stunted child molesters EA has on their payroll lack the maturity and intelligence to not throw a tantrum at the mere suggestion their main duty is to make the company money and give costumers what they want, instead of pushing their deranged Marxist agenda.

Here is two DLC side stories that was released after the main game, and the gay bs was a secret..
Horizon Forbidden West, they made Aloy lesbian in the DLC and in Watch Dogs Legion DLC they made Wrench gay.

not sure how effective it's gonna be. not only is games journalism dying and the average youtube "critic" is always looking for the next clickbait, even then it would mean people play the non-pozzed version after release which is the timeframe most people play.
it's sounds like the usual corporate BS operating procedure tho, which make it at least somewhat believable.
and email leaks are always risky if they're seeded to see who is the snitch, these days there are various ways most people aren't even aware of - typos, change of words and hidden letters being the most obvious.
