I’ve noticed a lot of “insiders” coming out of the woodwork lately. A QA contractor was invited to an “all hands” meeting where they were telling the “developers” to withhold content until after the game’s released. This information is something an independent contractor would be perfectly privy to guys. Can I have 402 Reddit updoots guys for telling you this totally real tm information guys?
if you're a QA contractor and your job is to screen for a certain type of content.... how do you think that gets communicated to said contractors?

Its a lie from management so that the rank and file trannies don't revolt. Say you are going to add it in later, get the game out, and then fire them afterwards.
But we got that already, the asari are monogendered, and the krogan are gynocentric where the females essentially dictate reproduction. We don't need to wait for the next opus to see Portland or Cali style gender politics.
indeed, it's really surprising people get mad when you string them along for years and tell them their choices matter, only to choose a different color no matter what they did up to that point.
I think for an RPG that takes player choice into account, ending slides are a bare minimum. The reason the Mass Effect ending was so bad was after you got your coloured cutscene, optional scene of Joker and co stepping out of a crashed Normandy, and the weird Buzz Aldrin epilogue - there was nothing. Not every RPG needs ending slides, but typically you get to see the start and ending of individual storylines within the game itself a la KOTOR 1. There have been games with awful endings, but it was the expectation at the time coupled with the lack of actual closure on anything that provoked a lot of ire.
Wrench is an anything that moves type guy and this was established back in WD2.....
Looking back people that were not there just don't understand the level of disappointment. Mass Effect was setting themselves up to be the next Star Trek/Star Wars with the hype and excitement of the player base after the smash success of Mass Effect 2. At first everything seemed to be going right with even the surprise shock of how good the multiplayer was keeping the hype goin. But when you got to the end..... it was just "Really?"
I understand this is bait, but none of the borderlands games come even close, not even 1% of the amount of expectations which were deposited unto the end of the Mass Effect games. From reading devlogs and interview, I get the impression that few at bioware understood this.
