Vickers does a lot of things that he seemingly thinks are normal parenting measures (examples: the "retarded Faith voice," calling his grandchild a demon baby, going on stream to air his daughter's dirty laundry publicly), but are actually fucking weird, abusive, or ineffective manipulative tactics. One thing in the PPP interview I found particularly off-putting was how casually he said his first measure when considering to deal with the Faith running off situation was to threaten her with prosecution for a felony as if it was a totally rational and warranted thing for him to do. No parent with a healthy relationship with their child would try that kind of tactic.

I sometimes wonder what his own childhood was like that caused him to think many of the things he does are acceptable.

99.9% of the time you'd be right and I'd agree with you but this is Ethan Ralph. His daughter got gunted, knocked up and had revenge pornography leaked. He wants Ralph dead or in prison.
