May I make a friend finder thread? - please

No discord or similiar nonsense, I would suggest we use messages here.

(If exists please do link, but the discord roleplay one is not what I am looking for.)

Suggested thread topics could be:
-Something you like about yourself.
-Something you are working on improving.
-Hobbies, interests.
-Things you would appreciate feedback or advice on.
(Don't PL / reveal personal info in thread.)

Or someone could just post saying "yeah, I'm lonely, you can message me if you want, no further context" and thus others would know they can message the lonely individual without needing further context.

I'm asking here first because I assume there is a reason why there isn't an easily findable friend finder thread for friend finders to find friends.

This should not be in "Forum Discussion", just make the thread in the general board; common sense rules would still apply (such as powerleveling).

It is a good idea given that technically there's a rule Null established about PMs (criteria is: "That person wants to be in your DM", or "That person needs to be in your DM.")

Someone explicitly saying this somewhere would clarify if they wish to be PMd out of nowehere. The only thing you have to worry about is LARPers that will try to get the other person to powerlevel.

Those seem too generic though, and they're not really going to spark conversation (like "name one thing you like about yourself", only the occasional shitpost in response, if anything).

If I'm understanding what you truly want, it would resemble something like this:
The make a friend thread - Make friends on Kiwifarms

Here you can invite others to PM you about whatever you want: about a specific topic, things you'd like advice on, or general stuff as long as the conversation is SFW.

Given that you need to establish if you want to be PMd, you can do so in this thread. The format of your request should be as follows:
  • If you want to be PMd, or simply go talk in one of the other threads.
  • The topic/reason why you want this.
Like:
  • I want to be PMd.
  • I want advice on traditional art.
Remember to follow the rules of the site, to not powerlevel about your real identity, to not share sensitive data (whether you directly telling them, or indirectly through things like Exif data), to keep it clean and SFW, and beware of potential malicious LARPers.
