You might have issues with that scope if its a dedicated pistol scope. Some pistol scopes are designed to be used a few feet away from your face when your arms are at full extension rather than a few inches from your face when like when you're shouldering a rifle. Its possible that it might be completely unusable while shouldered. Don't order any more hardware can't return. You might get lucky because some pistol scopes are for sexual deviants into benchrest shooting like the image below. These behave more like rifle scopes but might be designed with lower durability given the intended caliber.
Thanks for the warning. I think it is really a rifle scope, it just comes with pistol mounting standard for some reason. It says in the descriptions that it’s meant for field target, which seems to mostly be done with rifles.
And no worries, I’ve got customer protection. I can return anything I don’t like, even if I’ve damaged it with my incompetence.
I did also order a red dot, so if the scope doesn’t work out at least I’ll have one sight I can use.

FN has delivered both their IWS and AMG (an Evolys) (both in their proprietary .264 LICC) to the army for testing. This comes after SOCOM adopts rifles from Geissele and LMT, DEVGRU is playing around with 6 ARC, according to Larry Vickers Delta Force is playing with the Surefire MGX and the regular army adopts a peepeepoopoo Sig Saar.

Good look at the cases and linked ammo. I'm no expert in metallurgy but FN's next gen case tech is built around stainless steel everything, discoloration on the cases might indicate they put the cases through one or more gas burners to anneal the necks

Quite curiously the article mentions a lightweight link, Shellshock are the only other player I know about that are exploring in that direction.

Hoffman Tactical Lima Six Lower
You know, this whole time I thought the Lima Six would function like a SAW or Shrike and be able to feed from AR mags as well. Looking at that Hoffman lower it appears that's not possible? Looking at their website better would have answered my question it appears.

Today on not Forgotten Weapons, the coolest awful firearm:

Revolver rifles are descosTAANG

I've got a 20" barrel I'm going to drill for this, Need to decide if I want a Riflespeed gasblock, Really excited, I'll have to post my lower here for it.

you forgot the funniest part about the tweet, From what I can tell the person who shared it spilled the beans on it.
It's almost certainly a flow through for their sabre line, they probably have a ultra budget line coming out soon, they are probably aiming to absolutely fuck the suppressor market up jan 1st.
I wonder how much of the country's metal 3d printing output capacity is going to start going to cans jan 1st lol.

Has the ammo they've shown off for this always been annealed? I'm guessing due to the high pressure they were getting necks to burst or tear? Or other weird overpressure issues. I want more plastic ammo to be developed, it's way cooler IMO.

MGS-1 Suppressor
I wonder if we are going to see many more suppressors with heat sinks, seems obvious but fragile. Belt fed rated cans (for the aforementioned Lima6) are not super common and pricey.

That capability was sacrificed in order to stretch the receiver to allow for actually decent reliability with all kinds of ammo unlike the MCR.

Always looked pretty clean before but those could have been dummy/display rounds or they just skipped any kind of post processing on that particular batch.

I've been fascinated by revolving rifles and carbines ever since I first learned of them, like watching Howard Hawk's El Dorado ages ago and seeing the crusty old deputy character (played by Arthur Hunnicutt) wielding a Colt Model 1855

Kit arrived yesterday. Very greasy and honestly not the best condition in terms of finish wear, but frankly people put too much stock into that anyway.
I'm putting together materials now. Getting tubing off McMaster-carr, and probably aluminum for a welding jig.
I'm also developing possible the worst FCG possible to use a single stage drop in AR 15 trigger, not because its a good idea, but because I have one and its either that or spend $200 on a PPS43 semi auto trigger instead.

I've always wanted to get an SMLE, I think they're the best looking and overall best rifle of WW1
