If it’s like the sopmod I will hate it. My face is not shaped for those wide stocks.
I love the wideness of it but I can see why some wouldn’t. I’m not a huge fan of the angled buttplates that are on all the popular stocks. I need to find a Mod 2 in person and check it out. Wasn’t a huge fan of the Mod 0 when I tried one years ago. I want to switch things up just a little.

I have found an individual who has announced their intention to bring to market $200 all titanium, user serviceable .22lr suppressors. This person is a machinist with 10 years experience, welder, mechanic and fabricator. This person's name is "Caylee Penderass", they are a real FFL under the name " Caylee's Cans" as confirmed by FFLs.com (but more on that in a minute).

If the hearing protection act ever passes (I know, optimistic) dozens of companies will probably do the same thing and flood the market. If forced to do business with one troon vs buying an Israeli or Turkish product I might choose the troon (assuming there's not worse stuff in its background).

paying 40 bucks for the rugged fixed barrel spacer felt like some carnie shit. like i'm standing there in overalls, balloon in hand, forking money over for this newfangled technology when it's just a fucking inch and a half metal tube it should have been two dollars

It looks like they have a closed ecosystem on that suppressor as well so you’re stuck with their mounting options instead of hub compatible stuff

Submitted a form 4 yesterday, got lucky with no errors. My LGS already had one come back from the 2nd, so here's hoping my wait is not a long one.
Thinking of getting a new handgun for concealed carry any of you guys know if the gen 6 Glocks are any good? I was looking at a few options but I am pretty used to my G17 so I thought it might be better to stick with a Glock.
Finger fucked a Gen 6 G17 while waiting on my aforementioned eform 4. Anti-switch stuff aside, it's basically a Gen 5 with upgrades: stipling, undercut, bigger magwell, flat trigger shoe, beavertail. The finger groves are there, but not super noticeable when you grip it. I like the undercut and texture, but could do without the flat trigger shoe(in dryfire the trigger itself feels just like a Gen 5) and beavertail.

Assuming it's reliable, if you like the gen 5 you'll like the gen 6. No big reason to drop a 5 for a 6, you can do most of the upgrades yourself.

Ha I had the same experience! You can't tell me there isn't a standard piece of copper pipe that would do exactly the same thing.

That describes the suppressor world up until now.

Tubes of metal with metal bottle caps inside them costing hundreds and hundreds of dollars.

BRO you forgot the zillions of dollars in innovation! STYLIZED BOTTLECAPS! Flow through designs! This one is shaped like my favorite TRAIN and does a little toot to vent excess gas!
Let's see YOUR suppressor design! I bet it doesn't even come CLOSE to the 10db reduction MINE boasts!

I have found something that makes me extremely uncomfortable but also extremely intrigued.

This is the first video I saw regarding them and is also their most recent (astute viewers might notice something a little off about "Caylee")
I had this pop up on my Youtube recommended and laughed at the idea of a woman doing anything of value or interest in firearms. Turns out it is actually a tranny hooker, so my misogyny saved me from an even worse creature. God is Good 🙏

If they brought back the 3rd gen (4th gen?) guns like the 5906, 4506 and 1006 (this one especially is sought after) it would be a good money make i feel.

I think sales would be poor because they would be expensive and only really offer nostalgia. They look really cool but the stainless models are heavy enough to take them out of the running for most carry use, the single stack models are not good enough ergonomically and trigger wise to compete with 1911s for range gun. I had a 5903, which is probably the most practical of the entire range because it has an aluminum frame and isn't unduly heavy like the 5906, and it isn't very limited in capacity like the 4506 and 1006. It's a Beretta 92 competitor really, but more expensive and a tiny bit more compact, the 5903 might sell decently because 92s do and it's better than a 92 in my eyes, but the rest of the lineup is in 1911 territory and is worse than a 1911 in every way other than being DA/SA instead of SAO.

I don't have my 5903 anymore, I got a good offer for it at the range and it was redundant at the time. I didn't carry unlike my USP and my P226 had sentimental value.

I think they should shoot for competing with the CZ/B92/Tangfolio competition and target guns. The M&P and J Frame lines is their carry guns.

in regards to triggers, they can be improved like all DA triggers. some of the 3rd gen .45's were also some kind of SAO 1911 hybrid. I forget the model number but it took 1911 mags.

I would love for S&W to make the 1076 again, the gun the FBI adopted when they decided to switch to 10mm Auto. They were basically a factoy made custom gun. They even got Novak to help design it. Arguably the finest 10mm pistol made along with the Bren Ten. I regret selling my 1076, which was actually an FBI issued pistol.

Speaking of the Bren Ten, I'm still bitter that Vltor never got their Bren Ten to market after all the work they put into them, and equally bitter than no one took them up on their offer to buy up all the tooling and R&D they had done so far and finished the project.

I'd upload a video of it firing but fucking reddit won't let me download it and neither will the German airsoft site supposedly hosting it

A guy on reddit is claiming to have submitted 100+ Eforms and used control number data to extrapolate that there have been 750,000 Eforms submissions this fiscal year, and based on whether or not I understand a comment from the thread correctly (claiming that control numbers were at 331k at midnight on the 1st) that means there's been roughly 410k forms submitted in less thsn 10 days, and potentially more.

Initial graphs from 2 days ago, showing 650,000

In a few weeks SIG will probably drop a next Gen Sig-550/553

Here is it (allegedly)

The mag well can be swapped between a AR style or an H&K/AK style (with the paddle release). Mlok on the handguard, picatinney up top, long stroke gas system, rubber seal on the charging handle track.

This and the Gen 3 516 are going to sell like crazy I think (NGL if they drop the 516 upper by itself I might just get one ... Or a BRN-180 Gen 2 for that sweet sweet folding stock action)

This also might kill the JAKL 2.0 as you're getting proven long stroke, different mag wells and a reason to have propriety lower....

Correct, the 5903/06 would be around $1000 and the new ones would look different as they'd have to have a picatinney rail on the front so they'd get boxy-er.

If they were classic 1:1 clones they'd be niche as hell.

The metal framed M&Ps are the modern 5903 with the added bonus of Pic rails, optics cuts, and an internchangable backstrap

They're spinning up comped M&Ps as the competition guns

Hmmm if they'd did it would be a high dollar gun
S&W is much more likely to make a metal frame version of the M&P 10mm.
Correct. That would fit the round the best in their current semi auto lineup
