The presence of that knife, and the presence of my gun made what might have been a fistfight into a situation that could have only ended with lethal force if he had followed through.

This would have been in the late 80s or early 90s years before i was born. She only died a few years ago. I don't know if the commonwealth's attorney just declined to charge or the grand jury no billed her but she never got in trouble over it.
