Mega Rad Gun Thread

Since I switched to a Surefire Scout Light Pro Turbo for my LMT MWS308 along with the Ryker CTRL grip for the foregrip and light activation, I decided to put my Cloud Defensive OWL light onto my AUG A3. I swapped around the light and tail cap so that I can mount the light on the 3 o'clock rail with the light body on top so that the pressure pad on the OWL falls under my fingertips, and mounted my MagPul AFG for the foregrip. Turned out pretty well and works fine. I may eventually go with another Scout Light Pro Turbo and Ryker CTRL for my AUG A3 since I really like that setup, but for now this works.

6MAX or the not yet done 22MAX but in a shell shock case at 80K would be pretty much the best you can do in an AR-15 lower, and you maintain full bolt strength by using the 5.56 bolt face
or instead of kludging together a shitty battle rifle (ignoring the good ones) they could have just focused on using fires to kill the enemy, which doctrine calls for anyway. artillery accounts for 80-90% of combat deaths since WW1, even in Ukraine despite what the cult of the drone would have you believe. 5.56 was fine

Rifle fire is to fix the enemy to their position so your fires can destroy them.

does anyone else make autistic spread sheets for round counts and such like?

This is my table on my Winchester super grade. I wish i had done this with my black hawk. I've got near to 10,000 rounds on it now just based on how many primers i have used.

Can someone ID this gun? It can be seen in the movie Wild Team (1985), which was shot in Dominicana, Italy, Spain and USA (if that helps).

My guess is some foreign .22lr AR-alike made for areas where military weapons/cartridges are verboten. Either that or some kind of non-gun mock-up. It's clearly supposed to look like some kind of M16/AR based carbine/SMG like the Colt 607, but none of them had wood furniture.

It looks really weird, doesn't it? I'm no gun expert and even I know that there's hundreds of different variants of M16, AK-47 etc. Unfortunately, I couldn't get better screenshots or video clips. The image quality isn't great.

There's also the fact that there is no buffer tube or stock aside from an itty-bitty nubbin sticking out the back. Might be enough room for a spring for a simple blowback action for a .22lr, but definitely not enough for anything substantial like 5.56mm or 7.62x39mm. It could also just be a toy gun done up to look more "realistic". I'm no expert on toy firearms. I know Mattel made a toy M16 back in the 60s that was even used in the filming of the John Wayne movie the Green Berets to stand in for the real thing in a scene or two, so I'm not sure if there were any toy replicas that came with wood furniture. The Mattel one had back plastic furniture, and I believe it was the source of the old Fudd lore that the furniture on the original ARs/M16s were plastic made by Mattel.

it looks like a CETME thats been cut down and the stock removed with some extra greebles welded to it. most notably it appears to have an under-folding metal stock that looks like a shitty akms folding stock and that weird top strap rear sight thing

My WAG is that the director saw a picture of the short barrel hk in 308, I want to say g3k? If not its the really short 308 flashbang dispenser that looks awesome. And he tells the armorer that he wants a gun like that. Armorer can't get said gun so he bubbas an AR-10. Could be very wrong.

This is activating my AUGtism

I will probably get a NATO A3 this year.... Instead of a wood stocked AK.
