That's an interesting option I'll need to think on (and wouldn't require new mags to boot!). Funny thing about the height of the most recent ammo shortage is that I couldn't find 5.56/.223 anywhere, but all the local shops had plenty of weird shit like .450 Bushmaster and .50 Beowulf available.
I've been thinking about consolidating & going that route for all these reasons; along with there being some pretty deep discounts that I've seen on rifles & uppers in those calibers.

The only time in recent memory I heard of someone caught breaking that law was some rich do gooder in Sacramento, who thought the police were acting in good faith lol.

California deserves to burn to be honest.
I know who you're talking about, the guy who tried to comply with the registration and CA DOJ raided him. He was some kind of magnate.

I am at this point, in favor of red states forcing embargoes on blue states when it comes to guns or gun manufacturers telling states like California to go pound sand.

The biggest stumbling block is California and unless SCOTUS doesn't take up a position against them, they will keep getting away with it.

Has anyone used 7.62/39 AR pistol uppers? And if so are they any good. Looking for a range toy more than anything else.

What's everyone's take on ar-10's? I've been eyeing up one in a local shop for awhile now.
Fine. You have less rounds for the same mag size and weight, so you might want to see if a longer barrel AR-15 could be good enough first.

Well credit to @Buel19 explaining the reason why I just saw this lunacy today lol as I decided to browse the subreddit of CAGuns in order to see if its like Calguns as I got to wait for my account to be activated there.

And was surprised by lunacy like this and realized this state is a giant lost cause at the way things are going, the bubble has not been pierced yet.

I bring potential and purported news regarding the state of the NGSW trials
Updates on the NGSW trials, the second link is not proven

Its really not hard or that big a deal to stay featureless. Pretty sure an AW violation is dancing with a felony.

I put on a pistol grip a while ago, and god damn, the comfort is just off the charts. Then went back to the sparrow and the megafin. Megafin is more comfortable for my hands at this time.

As far as felonies go, Im sure the assholes in Sacramento know most of this state has weapons that violate the AW and use it to fuck with people that they don't like in case someone gets caught.

I had those thoughts in wake of the Kyle trial since the media coverage here on the local side is heavily dishonest.

And then I go to CAguns and see the retardation on display there.

Might as well slap a stock on an AR pistol while you're at it. Free men don't ask for permission.

*Note I am not an attorney.

I didn't know open carry was a thing until these riots in other states, even blue states.

I don't even know if AR pistols are legal in this state, probably are not but nobody tells the authorities unless they get snitched on or lives up in the state of Jefferson.

Most of those freemen don't exist here anymore, just cuckservative fags that bootlick the police and liberals being liberals.

AR pistols are legal in this state
AR pistols are legal in CA if they were built and sold as a pistol (as in, a complete firearm and transferred as such on the books). the other method is a private party transfer of an existing pistol (which means a fixed-magazine configuration, generally requiring "disassembly of the action" to remove the magazine). AR receivers on the BATFE 4473 are just frames, but on the CA DROS (CA DOJ BOF 929), it's either a Long Gun or Handgun, and then you specify the "type" of Long Gun or Handgun, and then you can specify if it's a Frame Only.

if the receiver was ever previously transferred as a Long Gun, then CA has it's own definition of Short Barrel Rifle where PC 33215 stipulates that a rifle (Long Gun) that is caused to be manufactured with a barrel less than 16 inches or overall length shorter than 30 inches (yes this differs from the Federal definition of SBR) is a CA-defined Short Barreled Rifle and is considered an Assault Weapon, which is a felony to possess or manufacture, transfer, or et c without certain permits (Dangerous Weapon Permit, DOJ Letter of Authorization, et c).

The thing to keep in mind is that there's different standards for AR-10s, as "AR-10s" are Armalite spec while "AR-308s" are the DPMS spec. Sometimes the people selling them don't know the difference and say "AR-10" as the generic term but you need to know what you're getting in case you need parts.
