I never said anything about lowers, vendors won't ship a lower directly to anyone unless they have an FFL. You can't even get an older one with a C&R as far as I know.

That being said, what isn't a felony in CA at this point? If I lived in that shithole I would have just built an SBR out of a 80% and hid it.
I do find it kind of funny that Taurus’s G2 guns aren’t compliant. They’re shit guns but I still find it funny.

Manufacturers don't want to spend the money to go through all the testing to get on the roster. That's why you get shit like two different colors of the exact same pistol with one being on-roster and one not, because they're technically different model numbers and they only paid to get one tested.

.224 Valkyrie
Actually I've been considering building a long range AR rifle in 224 Valkyrie or 6.5 Grendel. I crystalized on Grendel the past few months though.

But it's gay and a waste of time because I have no clue where I can go long range shooting in MD without doxing myself beyond the typical range signup stuff (ie most places require memberships). I might need to go camping out in PA for a weekend with friends to pull it off.

Still gonna get in all my dumb gun fantasy ideas before Jan 20th though.

What's always made me ree is how a lot of nice ranges make you have NRA memberships before you can even apply.
That reminds me, I need to get my range membership renewed. My NRA dues are paid up through the next few years, but I still have to affix some sort of proof to the renewal form (copy of membership card, or mailing label from one of the NRA magazines)

I'm glad I have BLM land to shoot on where I live. Ranges should let you have alternative means to NRA, like GOA, or proof of donation to FPC or SAF.

Is the NRA still a meme as I hear stuff about the GOA and one other group being the real fighters against gun control.
Yes. The NRA has never been for gun rights, check out their legislative history from the beginning. Other parts of NRA do good with helping ranges and whatnot but the organization as a whole has always been rotten. Current leadership just makes it way more visible.

I annually donate to FPC and SAF as they have done the legislative heavy lifting for gun rights over the past decade.

So it's seeming like Joe getting in the White House is an inevitability at this point - what are you trying to get a hold of while you still can? I'm eyeing some AK variants that I don't have yet, plus magazines, as well as a Vz. 61 and/or a Vz. 58. Problem of course is that I can't possibly afford them all. That, and I'm trying to get as much 7.62x39 and 5.45x39 ammo as I can before Biden EO bans ammo importation.

5.45 has always been a meme in this country, the only reason it's popular again is because retarded PSA fanboys think PSA's 74 is anything but a piece of shit (like all of their rifles). The only reason 5.45 ever caught on at all is because it was cheap as fuck during the early 2000s. There were even 5.45 AR lowers at the time.

I'd honestly just focus on 7.62x39 if you want an AK, and look into a Zastava (with bulged trunnion) since they're the best made foreign import at the moment for a reasonable price.

Thing is I already have a few AK-74's, so I'm trying to get a nice ammo supply while I can.

One of the nice ones where I live is like this. It isn’t the brass goblin shit that bugs me but the fact they’re pushing so hard to make you give money to an organization that does fuck all for gun owners.

I’ve been stocking up on 7.62x39, 7.62x25, .308, 9mm, .45, 20 gauge #3 buckshot and #8 birdshot. I try to make it a thing to swing by the gun shop near the grocery store every time I go and pick up a box or two of one of those. Really makes me long for the days when you could buy a bucket of FMJs and just spend all day shooting targets at the range. There’s a few guns I’d like to buy but I don’t really need like a ruger 10/22 or some other .22lr for plinking but .22 is one of those calibers that’s selling like crazy where I live.

That looks like pretty good list. I think it would be hard to guess what Biden could actually ban by EO - imports seem the most likely/easiest. I guess he could lean on the BATFE to ban 80% lowers and pistol braces - they’re apparently already going after a company called Polymer80 for selling a complete 80% pistol kit.

I've been trying to find a decently priced M53 receiver but I'm being laid off so my parts kit build will have to regrettably put it on the back burner for some time, more then likely after his presidency and the expiration of whatever dumb law is passed

I've been thinking about getting some parts kits (I've seen some Galil AR and Yugo milled M70 kits for cheap), and there's an AK builder nearby, but I'm concerned how any new laws or regulations from the Biden admin might affect kit builders from 2021 onwards. Thoughts?

I doubt it will affect kits themselves, just the importation of them. I would go with the Yugo kit personally, but do your research on reputable builders first because actually building an AK takes skill. It's not adult legos like ARs and they're quite easy to fuck up in little ways that can lead to catastrophic results.

I think they're more concerned with 80% kits than parts kits. Id go for it now tho you never know with the ATF.

I live in California and won't be ready to leave for at least a year or so but I don't imagine things nationwide will get even as bad as things already are right now here. Which doesn't mean things won't get worse here, but there's really nothing I can get right now that I either can't get my hands on or don't already have. When I do leave? Probably drop money on an SR-15 (banned by name in CA).

Just an FYI, KAC won't guarantee accuracy for civilian sales so if you get an SR-15 in the hopes of a sub MOA shooter and it isn't... They'll just tell you to fuck off if you write to them to complain.
