Yep, this is me. I'm just gonna own it. Even wearing the boots, now that it's cold outside.

Should I also tuck in and blouse the pants, just for shits and giggles?
Ha, is it really that obvious of a look? I thought I blended in well enough. Pretty much the same setup here, but with a Garmin watch.

I like 5.11 Stryke for office pants, the pocket is reinforced so the G10 on my knife doesn't eat away at the pants.

Alright, thanks will do. I have pretty much most of the gear I've wanted, I just need to mount a light to my AR and really finalize some of this other stuff.

I'm not really trying to go for the camo pants/camo clothing look, I just really like the T-shirt and jeans with gear look.

I think they look like any other khakis to the average person. The only people who will notice are the ones looking.

I also have a pair of Carhartt khakis that are basically the same thing. It's not like wearing a camo pattern BDU bottom in public.

To paraphrase Uncle Paul, look the part, but don't look like you're in costume.

However, if you wear Grunt Style t-shirts, you've passed the tactitard event horizon.

If you're in a combat zone and see someone in plainclothes, there's a decent chance that he's a dangerous motherfucker.

Grunt t-shirts are too on the nose, yeah. I've been rocking the dress shirt look in the city as not to draw too much attention. Flannel and carhartts on more casual days, if you don't mind being mistaken for a carpenter.

Out in the country nobody cares about camo so it's normal to see people wearing anything from multicam to 90's tri-color desert camo.

Really only stands out to cops, feds, and /k/ommandos. Most folks won’t think anything of it. It’s kind of like the windbreaker/fishing vest and aviators combo in the 90’s, or a Shabak in the mid ‘00s. If you know, you know.

Can we all agree that Digital UCP was a mistake?

I can't remember where I read it, but the gist was the whole concept of UCP was to print-on-demand patterns for certain environments. So, the lightest grey color was intended to be replaced OD green or tan or whatever, as required. OD/sage green/middle grey would be a pretty good woodland camo I think.

As far as boots go, Bates ranger or tactical boots?
Whatever you like, want, or suits your needs. Doesn't matter if it's tacticool boots, or some nice Ariats, or Samus Aran pumps (if you're into that).
In case you need to hide in a pumpkin patch that's on fire.
Or one that isn't. We all know that the Great Pumpkin loves the taste of human children.
I like some of the older Russian ones. Like this MVD (police) camo, Kamysh Blue.

That reminds me: the Chinese have all but confirmed that they're planning an invasion of Candyland.

I hate how I like how UCP looks with jeans, but I'm weird like that. For concealment, it looks like dogshit, but for look factor I like it.

Looks like they're planning to invade Santa's Workshop and put the elves in a labor camp.

Russian one looks a bit more subdued, this is the current "Moss" variant, newer than the Kamysh one. Looks like A-TACS or something. It stands out like a sore thumb during the day but should work better at dusk.
