Anyone have experience with the SilencerCo Hybrid 46? I like the idea of a multi-cal suppressor as a first can (especially magnum rated and all the way up to 45.70 gov) but is it mediocre, jack of all trades master of none type deal? I wish I didn't miss the SilencoCo BOGO deal that ended a few days ago though, spend $700 get a Warlock .22 can or spend $1100 and get a free Omega 300.

SilencerCo Hybrid 46
kinda heavy for what you get vs a more typical Sandman (-S or -L) suppressor and running wet, or a Gemtech GM-9. currently, unless you're keen on swapping parts when moving between weapons, you're going to typically have mediocre performance and a heavy suppressor that kinda works on most things but kinda not on the extreme ends of the supported bore sizes. it's pretty good if you find it for under $900 though. note that the Sandman-S will be slightly heavier, but shorter, and imho a bit more ruggedly built than the Hybrid 46M. if your specific application is large caliber magnum-rated cartridges like .444 Marlin or something, then the Hybrid 46M is pretty much your only choice if you want to stay at or under the $1k mark. the next one i might recommend is the Obsidian 45, however it's not really "magnum" rated, topping out around .45-70 or .460 Rowland and that's pushing it - no wildcat super loads.

Today I wish I had this little bastard, the nagant 1877. It's a 9.4mm double barreled rolling block pistol.

Also available in extra stubby carbine flavor.

If you want bog standard on a budget, get an Aero. They at least QC their stuff.
Ehhhhh most recently I've handled some of their uppers and lowers and they had a little too much play for comfort. I was at the FFL yesterday picking up my CM4 lower and he showed me an Aero lower sent to him with the pivot pin hole way out of spec. My M5 has a lot of play between the upper and lower too even with the adjustment screw in the lower tightened. Their BCG's are also shit from what I've seen (snapped bolts) so that's why I went with Centurion this time around.

I don't use any of the companies mentioned but I know tons of people who rave over Aero. I was just assuming he wanted a budget lower since he mentioned possibly buying PSA. Only company I've heard of with as many turds is Anderson.

Pre Chigger Virus Aero was good and everyone in my shooting group obsessed over the price of their blem lowers. Recently They've gone downhill, but not as bad as Sigger. Considering the regular price of stripped PSA lowers (They're on sale but I dont like their quality) you can get the Centurion CM4 for an extra $5 and get an actual milspec lower. For the shits and giggles I mated the stripped lower with the stripped BCM upper and it is by far the tightest fit I've had out of any lower/upper and later I'll get the calipers out to check to see if everything is in spec.

Edit: BCM still has $60 blem uppers, fucking steal

Welp, time to sell off a gun I have literally only used once and shot 3 mags through.
A mid 2021 production KP9. Seems to be from a batch that actually received QC and before KUSA started hiring blown out porn stars for PR and management.
Not sure how much I'll get from a LGS or pawn shop but it's got to go. Wish me luck, or don't.

We don't sell guns here
Well every single LGS is closed on weekends and they normally all close around 4PM. A few hours before I get off the clock.
Being in a rural small town sucks sometimes.
Guess I'll try my luck on some forum or something.

Edit: Unless there's a suspiciously wealthy and stable kiwi interested in a 9mm AK on my side of the Ohio River. At the same time I don't think any meeting stemming from KF would end well for either party

Mayber it's just me, but I noticed there's been a recent trend with a particular demographic of truckers, flexing on each other with their "sleeper guns". Because of course they're regularly engaging feral gangs of lot-lizards, fighting the ferocious truck-stop cartels, and they need the capacity & penetration to fend off those heavily armored hitch-hikers.

Looks like they've worked out the kinks for that particular design and gone into "serial" production, which is definitely interesting historically & technically. The last time I recall anything on such a scale as this happening, was maybe Israel with the Haganah up until '48.

I'm not a long haul trucker but, if I was spending a lot of hours driving across state lines dozens of miles between cities, counting on highway patrol wouldn't be my way of handling things. Lot of bad things can go down in the middle of nowhere. Must be kind of tricky finding something legal in all the states you'd be in, a nice 16" m1A1 maybe? Ruger Mini 14? Last time I checked those can go everywhere. Either that or just say "fuck it" better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6. I haven't the slightest idea if truckers deal with searches of the personal cabin area of their vehicles. I do know Trucking theft went way down in the 90's IIRC they made it a federal case to hijack a truck and GPS devices made it very hard for the mob to hijack and unload a truck in a warehouse.

Nigger are you seriously trying to lowkey sell your gun on KF?

The Japanese make good shit, and it looks sexy. Get it, it's mag fed, can't really go wrong
I'm actually thinking about getting a barreled action and a chasis that takes pmags. They seem pretty good to me.

I always say that when it comes to ingenuity the Jews were on top, especially with the Haganah and specifically, the Palmach.

Look I get the car gun, I want one too... but just get a pistol. A 9mm, or if you're feeling old-school a 45 1911 or a big ass 357 magnum would scare off a intruder in a truck lot just as much as a shotgun or rifle

It's interesting certainly seeing the Myanmar rebels continually improving their equipment and arms. While you could question durability, replacement and on the spot modifications are dirt cheap. Keep on keeping on you bastards.
