Yes yes, I know reloading isn't a silver BULLET. But for the money hog that is 300 win mag, every bit helps.
Speaking of 300 WM I saw it at my local Wal Mart lol.
I love the ammo counter there they always have 12g and odd shit, I chatted with the manager and he fell in love with me when i saw 303 and bought a few boxes. He said Walmart makes massive orders and gets lots of random shit and sent to stores, niche shit gun stores don't always have. It'll sit for a long time till a discount then people swarm it up.

Walmart unrelated has best prices for rainX and other car cleaning stuff (also a car guy).

So I have had a busy work load and medical thing, it'll be a bit till my dies get here or I can get to a range as of now I have 20 6.5 carcano rounds. I'm excited to test her out. Anyone have suggestions for brands weights etc? I know it's a bolt gun move bolt pull trigger etc. just anything that's "in the know" for them?

Hope you're all well gun frens

Edit: What are your guys thoughts on 300 Winchester Magnum?
I appreciate what that round did as a precursor to some of the LR rounds we have now. Also, because I'm such a faggot for .375 H&H, how could I not have some love for it too? If you want it as a big game cartridge, I think it can take everything in North America. If you want it as a LR round, it can do well enough but there are much better .30 options available now.
Oh trust me, I've been hoarding brass ever since I got it. Never have lost a case. Once I have a reloading set up, things will get cheap.
No it really won't. I don't say that to discourage you, just that especially with primer and powder costs these days, reloading as a way to save money is ancient history unless it's for stuff that's very rare or regionally uncommon and so eye-wateringly expensive (like .375 Cheytac). The ROI is on having loaded rounds available to you when you want (provided you have a stockpile of the components, of course) and being able to tailor a round to your rifle(s) that far exceeds factory ammo in consistent performance. Also, if you want rounds that are uncommon or are charged differently than factory ammo, hand loads are the way to go. The one thing I'll tell you on this post without devolving into a very long autistic monologue is to consider what you plan on reloading most often and then do research on what setups will save you the most time. Many people forget to factor time into reloading costs and I assure you it matters.

RUSSIAN-AK47-BAKELITE-IZZY-LTP-2T.jpg Just got some bakelite mags for my riley defense ak, for a more traditional soviet aesthetic. Already put a Romanian pistol grip and i've a soviet tula bayonet as well. Ive put about 1000 rounds through the riley and love it, shoots well and pretty accurately for an AK. FYI all new riley defense AK's are made with a forged bolt carrier, trunnion and bolt. Only the barrel is nitride and I dont mind that really.

Also, pic is a stock photo, not what I have received. I haven't gotten it in the mail yet

If there's any other British kiwis on here, I would encourage you to read and respond to https://www.gov.uk/government/consu...licensing-sound-moderators-accessible-version

TL;DR is the government is looking to take moderators completely off-ticket (for the burgers, this is suppressors going to over the counter, no paperwork needed)
you guys cant catch a break can you? first they ban lead shot for birds and now this? I sorry for what is happening over there.

Off topic but is your avatar from something that actually exists?
It's a combo of Fate, the battle of bunker Hill, and the power of Bing making it happen. I got a post on my wall if you want a better look or talk about it more. No I don't know what the gun is. Bing chose a random musket out of its ass.

Where'd you get 'em from?
There was a guy at my local gun show that always used to sell them, albeit a bit overpriced, but I haven't seen him in years.

They're not cheap but for authentic soviet mags I'm willing to pay more than I would for a magpul Pmag or something. Also I wouldnt get steel mags from there unless youre getting a slab side mag. you can get blued soviet and easten block steel mags for cheaper elsewhere. I just like their selection of bakelite mags.

Nice. I've got a fair amount of misc steel euro mags when Apex still had them for cheap. Always wanted another bake, though.

If you're shooting a lot of expensive rounds consider getting one of these annealing machines to stretch the life of your cases to basically forever.

They also claim it's the best way to get retard tier accuracy but I'm iffy on the claim, however it absolutely does get rid of case stress and make em last forever.

or you can just take a propane torch to it. hold the base of the case and stick the neck and shoulder into the flame and rotate with your fingers until the heat from the mouth of the case works its way down to your fingers and then dunk it in water. some people will chuck the case into a drill but then you don't know how hot the base of the case is getting. you don't want to anneal the base of the case, only the neck. when finished the neck and shoulder of the case will have rainbowish hue to them.

Every one has a propane torch and tap water. a 2,000 dollar machine is not necessary.

Personally I'd rather just not fuck around with 300 win mag and toss it after a bit. It's a bit of a beast

I don't think they're gonna ban suppressors in bongland. From what it's described they're gonna remove that requirement where you need to get another license from the police just to buy one.

This sounds like a good change personally. Now we just need that to apply to the states.

Seeing this kind of shit at a Cabela's makes me hate the place even more; it's like "I know what I got" and "fuck you pay me" as a franchise.

But if only I had $3k(+) to burn, and stuff like the Laugo Alien didn't exist....
:stress:

Yeah, they're looking at completely deregulating them rather than banning them. I'm shocked, it's the first time our gun laws have moved in the right direction in a very long time.
