Huxwrx, formerly OSS, are making pistol caliber cans now that I have heard excellent things, and they've been one of the manufacturers that H&K have teamed with for a few years now. Obsidian make good cans. Energetic Armaments is another one you might want to check out that have a lot of unique features that you don't see with other manufacturers, and they're offering a 9mm can now that I believe uses the Hub system where you can remove the direct thread mount from the rear of the can and use a variety of quick change mounts like their Vox S .30 rifle suppressor.

Theres all sorts of suppressors that will work just fine, but IMO a YHM R9(or R45 if you want maximum versatility) is the perfect can for a MP5. Sound wise its about as good as it gets, and its incredibly versatile in that it can handle anything up to 7.62x51mm on a 16 inch barrel if you want to suppress anything else. I have one myself so a little biased but that on my MP5 with a SD hanguard adapter and it really makes you feel like a big man.

Dead Air Wolfman is another good one, though its a little more expensive and not as versatile caliber wise.

3 lug is 100% the way to go for mounting suppressors on PCCs. Its hands down the best mounting system for them and causes irrelevant amounts of poi shift(you arent jerry micileck so who cares). IMO id get something like an R9 specically for PCCs and leave a 3lug mount on it then get something else for suppressing your rifles or handguns.

The problem you have right now is every thing is sold out with everyone buying suppressors like crazy due to the sub week approval times. For example I just picked up a Wolverine myself and it was under 3 weeks from purchase date on SS to approval from ATF. That is very very nice as 1-2 years ago suppressor approval times where literally around a year. It took me around 340 days for my Turbo to be approved back in 2020.

3 lug is 100% the way to go for mounting suppressors on PCCs. Its hands down the best mounting system for them and causes irrelevant amounts of poi shift(you arent jerry micileck so who cares). Yeah that's the only reason I haven't hopped on getting one yet. I was starting to move into new lines of work and bouncing in between states to get training and see family before starting a new job so I didn't want to take a gamble on when it would be approved. I'm going to go check out my LGS' around here that carry supressors and see what's still around this area. Appreciate everyone's advice.

Check out Silencer Shop dot com. They have revolutionized and simplified the whole ATF application process and made it so much easier for the applicant. They also team with local gun shops where they have an electronic kiosk to do everything from filling out and submitting the Form 4 to taking your photo and fingerprints. They have a large selection on their website with reviews from customers to give you an idea of what suppressors are available and popular. I went to one of my local bang shops who is one of their Elite level partners to order my Vox S and will submit my Form 4 there when it comes in. The guy who helped me was even able to reach out to one of the Silencer Shop employees who he's buddies with to find out how long it will take for my suppressor to come in. He didn't have to do that, but he wanted me to have an idea how long my wait will be.

I second them being a solid retailer/dealer. Great selections, competitive pricing, helpful staff. I also second SilencerCo being a good maker. I've only ever used their rifle cans (Omega 300 and Velos) but if those are indicative of their production quality you'll be fine. Also recommend checking out Otter Creek Labs Lithium cans. That dude makes good stuff.

I don't even like .45 ACP and I'm still jealous you have one of these and I don't. If/when you get a can for it, please post your thoughts and maybe some pictures.

My next can will probably be a SilencerCo, either a Salvo 12 for my FosTech Origin 12, or an Osprey 45 for my HK Mark 23. Haven't decided yet, and if I get the Salvo 12 I'll probably need to SBS my Origin 12 and get the 10" barrel for it since it would look ridiculous having the stock 18" barrel, plus almost another foot of sound suppressor sticking off the end. It's already a heavy bastard as is, especially with the 20rnd drum attached.

Opinions on the fn 502? I already carry a 509 but am not sure about the 502 because its made by Umarex. Does anyone here have experience with it or another real firearm made by them?

My first rimfire pistol was a 6.5" Neos. The trigger is pretty meh and I had to deal with a recall repair, but otherwise I didn't hate it. I gave it to my brother so my niece would have something to learn to shoot handguns with.

Most likely will be since it's the more practical option. I'm leaning most towards the Osprey 45 since is has a similar boxy look as the Mark 23 and since it can be indexed it won't obscure the sights, but I'm also looking at the Huxwrx .45 can and the the Rugged Suppressors Obsidian. It also depends on what .45 cans are available that either come with pistons available that are the same thread pitch as the Mark 23's barrel. Brugger and Thomet are apparently the the supplier for suppressors for European Mark 23s and have been for many years, and they're now making their Mark 23 suppressor available in the US market, but from what I hear they're a much more "old school" can and not nearly as effective or feature rich as newer style cans. More like the Knights Armament suppressor that was made for SOCOM for their Mk23s and the only suppressor available for the pistol for many years.
 
Someone (taurus maybe?) made a shitty semi auto pistol that had a light colored polymer grip and iirc stainless steel looking slide. The grip looked almost like a late 90s PC case i had. I saw the gun in a meme once where it was seized by law enforcement with a variety of mismatching ammunition and loved how it looked but i've never been able to find it again.

Why cant we get this kind of rounded polymer design on rifles? The AUG is the main rifle I can think of that kinda fits the bill but even then its not perfect.

My wife bought one first, not long later I found a deal for $100ea & gifted them around for birthdays & Christmas. Everyone loves them, especially the in-laws; having replaced an old rattly Bersa Thunder .380 and horrible SCCY.

I've posted a complete slide teardown ITT some time ago; the colored rubber & plastic inserts on the slide are removable & interchangeable, and the mag release can easily be switched. The triggers are heavy, but with a little paint on the front sight it's still easy to hit things. Also, decent fitted holsters are found on Etsy, which makes the pistols carry even better.

I was very surprised with the Spectrum on a lot of levels, and because it's Taurus; but for the price it's easily one of the most overlooked micro .380s on the market.

My only gripe is the long & heavy trigger, although that's understandable due to the lack of safety & striker design; and they universally don't like hard primers (i.e. Blazer). But the most surprising thing was I got new striker springs from Taurus in less than a month somehow, which also solved the problem & also improved the trigger pull.

That'll never happen again lol.

I've always been down with the Orca, it reminds me of something from a sci-fi novel cover; it also happens to be the first 3D printed rifle that really piqued my curiosity about the whole thing.

Nigga, have you never seen the FN F2000? The Tactical Tuna? It's round polymery-ness is even more extreme than the AUG. There was also the Beretta ARX-100 or 160, I forget which because I'm terrible with numbers, if you prefer a rifle with a traditional layout as opposed to the superior bullpup.

The F2000 is good. The ARX-160 is getting there but still a bit too sharp and angular for me. The stock is the main problem for the 160, if it looked like how it looks in COD it'd be much higher on the rounded polymer look scale.

Also of course the p90 is great.

Yeah, the combat carp (ARX-100) is a bit more sharp lines than roundy round.
