Finally, and forgive me if we've talked about this previously, but what are your thoughts on 6mm MAX? As a guy that jumped on the 6 ARC train I can see the appeal. I like that it's able to use standard AR bolts and the magazines are easy enough to find and have reasonable geometry. I also like that one can get ~2750 fps at the muzzle for an 18" barrel running 90gr projectiles. I've read that it's a close performer to 6 ARC out to about 1000m, but I'm skeptical of that. I'll watch it and see if goes anywhere but unless it starts to gain traction similar to the ARC stuff it'll probably die a quiet death. As I've stated before, I know for a fact that 5.56 kills just fine. I do like the idea of being able to reach out a bit farther than it without issue (say, 600m) and hitting people with a heavier projectile is also something I like the idea of.

6mm MAX is a really cool concept that's come far too late. Hornady already fumbled the ball hard by pushing their super speshul alt-AR caliber on the heels of 6.5 Grendel finally getting more mainstream attention only to fuck over both calibers by reducing the availability of lower weight .264 caliber projectiles hurting 6.5 Grendel's adoption among reloaders and offering a 6mm offshoot that has all of the same flaws of the Grendel parent cartridge with very minor benefits. Were 6mm MAX to come out before 6mm ARC I think it would have easily surpassed the Grendel and become a mainstay, however now it's just one of many weird alt-AR cartridges that don't offer enough of a benefit to switch to. I adore the 6.5 Grendel and have shilled it to many people who in turn come to love it as well, if that faggot 6mm ARC hadn't come around I would still be able to find 6.5mm bullets in the 100-123gr range at my local stores where all of these older guys I shilled the caliber to buy their reloading components.

I ended up buying the Tristar c100 my coworker offered me. Still had the original case, instruction manual, cleaning kit, and two mags. It's also had fiber optic sights and LOK Grips installed, so it's pretty nice shooter as is. Stripped, cleaned, and lubed it last night so I'm going to send a few mags through it after work. My mom had to use two fingers to pull the trigger DA lol

My favorite holster is a Nightingale Leather Sandpiper shoulder holster for my Dan Wesson Specialist 1911.
I looked this thing up. It looks legit. What do you wear to conceal it? If it's not a huge hassle I may get one myself, just because.
I eventually plan to get a second one for my Staccato P,
I got some trigger/finger fucking time with some Staccatos a few weeks ago. I fired the P, the XC, and molested the C2 and the CS. I gotta say, I was surprised. I thought for sure these things are massively overhyped and thus far overpriced compared to their price point. Nope, they're legit. To be sure, they're definitely not in the same league as an SVI, Atlas, BG Defense EG11, etc. But they do function as advertised, their magazines aren't a fucking gamble on how much tuning they'll need, and they're easy to get. Another contender in the Staccato type spot is Bul Armory's Tac line. They're not as easy to find but they're a hell of a lot less expensive.

It kind of depends on the weather. If it's cold I'll wear a jacket or coat over it. If it's just chilly then I'll wear a light jacket or a flannel shirt over it. If it's warm then I'll wear a short sleeve shirt like a Dickies garage shirt over it. If it's too warm for a second layer then I'll wear an OWB belt holster.

Yeah, I really like the Staccato. STI/Staccato have been around for a while and know their stuff. IMHO if you want a 2011 style pistol for carry/duty, the Staccato is your best bet. If you're looking more for something for competition or for that big dick swag energy then look into one of the more premium 2011 makers. The only thing that bums me out is that Staccato has settled on 9mm for everything. Don't get me wrong, I love 9mm and I know making everything with only one option for caliber makes logistics much easier, but when they were STI they offered .45 ACP, 10mm Auto, .38 Super, and I think one or two other calibers at one point. If I could have gotten my P in 10mm I honestly would have strongly considered it, so long as it was built to reliably eat standard 10mm Auto ammo and not that pussy as FBI Light Load shit that most 10mm Auto up until recently has been loaded to.

Speaking of the Staccato, I do plan on mounting an optic on it. I'm just waiting for the new Trijicon enclosed red dot to finally become available. My Tucker Deep Cover is cut for an optic, and when I get the Nightingale Leather shoulder rig for it I'll also have it cut for an optic.

I was able to put about 45 rounds through the Canik, and it ran beautifully. No issues whatsoever. By the second mag I was able to hit the Monster can I was shooting at about 25 yards. The last mag was just a mag dump to see what that felt/acted like. I'm quite happy with it.

Instead of getting a ghetto metal one, just consider getting a printer, can't be more expensive than 1 or 2 of the metal ones.
Depending on how this rolls, you could just give the DMB SpicyMeatball a lil squirt if it's all the same.....

Less than ¢50, and that's if you're using $80/kilo PA-CF. If you're using $10/kilo PLA then you're looking at literal pennies and less than 3 hours or so to make one.
PLA-CF would prolly be a good move if you don't have an enclosure and a machine that'll do nylon, but gets close to nylon performance. Minus temp resistance of course, but your lower better not be getting hot.

Printed shit is pretty awesome for things like grips, stocks, rail accessories, or anything that'd be injection molded or made of a zinc alloy usually. You can replace my lots of steel and aluminum parts as well, beefing stuff up of course.
By the sounds of it, most companies hate the 3D gigachads since we're not gonna buy their faggoty gatling AR grip or whatever bullshit, we're gonna print it for a handful of change and tell them to suck it.
So what's considered the current go-to in sub $500 printers? Any that handle pa6-cf carbon fiber nylon?

The new Sovol SV08 is supposed to be totally nuts, but the SV06+ is also really good. You'll be need to build enclosures for both, but they're about the cheapest and best rn. Bambu and Bambu clones are basically the best, but pretty damn pricy for most stuff

I actually prefer leather rigs to kydex. My favorite holster is a Nightingale Leather Sandpiper shoulder holster for my Dan Wesson Specialist 1911. It's so comfortable.

I've been saving months for a shoulder rig from Nightingale; would've had it sooner, but my budget got pushed back some earlier this year. I've talked quite a bit with him in the meantime, and the lead time & price will definitely be worthwhile.

I just wish I had something a bit nicer to ride in something that swank.

Kevin is good people. I really like his thigh rig as well and would love to get one of those one day as well, possibly for my Mark 23. I can guarantee you that the wait and price are worth it. If you can afford it, definitely spring for the full leather lining. It will turn a really good rig into an exceptional rig. It takes a bit longer to fully break in, but it'll protect the finish on your pistol and greatly extend the lifetime of the rig. It basically will be an heirloom so long as you take care of it and put some leather conditioner on it every once in a while.

Bros, I've done something.

Dropped a 16.25" Howa 308 barreled action in a Hera H7 chassis, slapped an x1-8 LPVO on it, and got an EFAB flash hider coming my way soon, maybe a suppressor later.

Very much a Space Ranger kind of vibe, the barrel protrudes just a couple of inches past the handguard, proportions are just right. Kinda blasty but the EFAB should help.

post pics and groups
Don't have proper groups yet, I just did the barrel break-in process by blasting into the side of a nearby hill like a tard, then took it in and adjusted the trigger a bit to a nice 3.25lbs because it was kind of heavy out of the box. Will be taking it to a proper range this weekend.

No pics either, but here's a mockup. Some parts may not be exactly to scale. Damn if she ain't a fine space gat.

I've had great performance out of a Smith Enterprises flash hider for both 16" and 18" barrels, just FYI.
I already ordered the EFAB but I'll check it out, may be good for another build.

I have encountered something that puzzles me, the boomer on the left is holding what looks to be a Zenitco Kochevnik Bullpup conversion (you can tell by the handguard). But there is a cover over the trigger area that I have never seen before, Kochevnik's use just a little box that encapsulates the trigger guard, but this piece covers a good portion of the rear of the receiver. Zenitco doing a small, unnanounced batch with a slight modification? a one off custom job? never seen anything like it before, and as some of you may know, I am somewhat a fan of Bullpup AK Conversions.

Before they made needlessly complicated tanks and Cars that need proprietary tools Germans made primitive firearms with two different ignition mechanisms. In this case, if you somehow lost your specialized wrench for your Wheellock you could simply strike up a piece of matchcord and convert your wheellock into a matchlock on the fly

Back in 2020 some old guy uploaded a 7 part series that is cumulatively like 2 minutes long about a homemade 9mm belt fed he made with no fucking details

He also chopped down a PPS-43

Lastly, since we seem to be entering an era of "Hyper Ammo" I wanted to bring up two different munitions companies that offer similar products using the same OEM Components
Black Arc Munitions uses the Shell Shock Technologies NAS3 case to propel a 77gr 5.56 at 2920fps out of an 18in barrel
Badlands Munitions uses the same case and a similar bullet and propels it at 2860fps out of the same length barrel
