I bought a new spec locking block (a stainless one with the relief cuts) and an NOS stainless .40 cal barrel, and it more or less all just dropped into a 96G Centurion slide.
new stuff should be minimal fitting if any. it's mixing new and old that has a problem. several years of dealing with M9's in the arms room with busted and clapped out locking blocks and the army wanting to keep barrels until they 10k out makes a lot of mix masters. for the 96, be aware that there is an improved 3rd gen block specifically to address issues with hot .40 S&W loads with 165 +P or 180gr loads. if you stick with target ammo and avoid +p it's not a big deal.

I don't shoot it hardly at all, ran a few mags through it and found it "bleh", and stuck it in a box deep in my safe. 92s are just way better in 9mm.

New as a fellow white person gun owner dropped. The 97percent is a gun "safety" group who claims that actually 97 percent of gun owners support universal background check, red flag laws, and all your typical common sense gun control.

They quickly got blown out of the water by FPC and a bunch of pro gun people started following them, so deleted their own poll and locked down comments on all of their social media.

Is it safe to shoot steel cased ammo out of a stock G21?
Yes, however, you may have problems with it. I've shot a lot of steel cased through my G48, but I have had 2 stuck cases from Tulammo. One, I had to bang the slide to loosen the round, and another I had to stick a cleaning rod down it because it had a sheared recessed rim and the extractor couldn't grab it. I haven't tried the new production Sterling or Winchester stuff in it, but the new Magtech zinc plated steel cased has ran fine as well. I think the polymer coating for the steel doesn't hold up as well as plated or lacquered rounds so I have avoided the Sterling and Winchester offerings.

Unfortunately you can't buy the quality steel case anymore.

kiwibros.... Brice has owned everyone by posting his completed customer VSS, he even has a video of him shooting two rounds through it! (I cannot grab this because it is on his facebook story) Lets look at his great work!

Looks great so far, surely you can't spot his shit welds from earlier right? Well if you look closely you can see the divots from him welding. I have close ups of these but they won't upload at a great resolution on here. They are easy to spot on the pictures where the gun is angled. I tried turning up the brightness on the one laying on the table, you can kinda see the inside welds and I don't think they look too touched up. Somewhat impossible to tell from the angle but theres def something there.

Someone in the comments is telling him to put fluorescent penetrant inspection fluid on it, I am curious if he will do so. I will give him that this gun will probably never fail if its in the original caliber, the owner will probably keep it as a safe queen and it will never see past MAYBE 100-250 rounds (if that). If it does fail that would be funny. After seeing this I still don't have confidence in his work, and him trying to prove himself like this isn't exactly helping his image.

Here's the video. Best way is to just use a screen recorder. I did compress it down from 105MB to 14MB for Null. If anyone really wants it uncompressed I can put it on catbox or something. But it looks the same to me
