I badly want to go rent a full auto P90 and there's one not far away, so busy. I think my wife would absolutely love to shoot one. Myself I wonder how the length of pull would feel, but for her she's much smaller. 7lb fully loaded with 50 rounds is crazy light too.

Ive never shot a full giggle p90 id love to myself even if I'm not the biggest 5.7 fan and I never watched Stargate lol

Guys I'm thinking something stupid again (as normal because I'm retarded).

I want another single shot rifle. Something nice but I am not scared to use my only big game gun is my 416 Ruger #1. I'm thinking about another but in 375 H&H because that caliber is baller and single shots are.

Anyone else make something as pretty and solid for around same? Id actually be preferring used since I'll be hunting with it a few dings are fine.

Talking about lever guns I need a lever nugget but fuck me they are pricey when they show up for a meme collection. Actually out of all the mosin adjacent guns as a history geek that are very cool.

Hope all is well with you guys.

I fired two mags out of a full auto P90 about 5 years ago now. I remember it being very controllable and pretty fun, despite the fact that it took me way longer to load the two mags than it did to go through them. The MP5 is still my favorite gun to shoot full auto if you have a chance to rent one of those as well, it makes me sad that my SP5 doesn't have that option every time I fire one.

I thought one range had a MP5, but it didn't so I did a Uzi. Hebrew markings and all, collapsible stock version. Very fun. They have a UMP there as well. I'd like to shoot an MP5 still. Shooting an open bolt was cool and fun though. I really want to shoot a grease gun and other WW2 stuff.

Yeah, you guys get easier access to Mannlichers, Mausers and there's a new straight pull from Browning that looks super neat that we'll never ever get in the US.
its not as cool as you think. Its just a Browning BAR with the gas system removed and a bolt handle put on the bolt. its the same as those straight pull ARs some countries have.

GAY.

straight pull rifles that are meant to be straight pulls are much cooler like the Blasers, Heyms, Ross, and Browning T-bolt (all available in USA.)

I'm currently halfway looking at a 45-70 lever gun to suppress. But I've never suppressed a lever gun nor had a 45-70 is there anything to avoid out of the gate?

I wish that OG LAM wasn't unobtanium
i assume you mean the phase 1 prototype LAM. i have a very early Wilcox LAM as well as a few PEQ-6 units and they're readily available if you have coin and know where to go.

be very diligent in cleaning as carbon fouling will seize the action much more readily than other designs owing to blow-by on the bolt and how the lifter functions. subsonics work well and integrally suppressed 45-70's look very cool.

I'm a big Browning fanboy. I like the T-Bolt and the BLR bigly.

You ever shot a 45-70? You gonna do anything with it other than plink with it?

I'd wait a few months and see how this NFA repeal effort goes and save myself $200 just in case. Unless you got a problem that needs to be sorted right now.

They're fucking rad. As quiet if not more quiet than 300blk and an actual useful round.

Haven't shot one yet. Have shot a considerable amount of 30-06 but not sure how it compares. I have a vague notion to hog hunt with it but primarily plink. I may take your advice on the tax stamp and hold off a bit on that.

The biggest buffalo cartridge, which was introduced too late to actually shoot buffalo.

The .50 3 1/4 or .50-140

this cartridge propels a 700 grain projectile at velocities 1,400 FPS or more with a muzzle energy of 2,800 ft lbs. if loaded with smokeless powder this cartridge will equal the performance of .500 nitro express. see here compared to 8mm Mauser:

A common feature of 19th century cartridge naming conventions that has fallen out use is stating the case length in the name. this is what the 3 1/4 is in the name. The modern designation is .50-140 because we are all used to the caliber-powder charge scheme but in the period caliber-case length was just as common. and less confusing too. for example the .50-90 sharps, .50-100 sharps and .50-110 sharps all use the exact same case differing only in charge weight and projectile weight. On a real sharps all 3 of these cartridges are all marked .50 2 1/2.

Winchester though, always thinking about marketing would rename the .50 2 1/2 to .50 WCF or .50-90 WCF which is what we know the cartridge as today.

just a little obscure cartridge spergery for you today.

I'm jealous, I currently just have a rail mounted compensator on mine. I wish that OG LAM wasn't unobtanium, because that'd really finish the look.

Surefire has a visible and IR light and laser combo that would be an awesome modern substitute. It's got the boxy look, but is more compact than the original Wilcox and Insight LAMs. They're about $1300, so not cheap, but that's the way I'd go if I ever got the itch to go the full "Solid Snake" and mount a LAM to my Mark 23. It would require one of those 1913 Picatinny rail adapters, but there are a couple of quality options out there for those.

Don't let Western Movies and Fuds fool you. Lever actions aren't all that cool.

I have to strongly disagree. I'm actually to the point where I have a much bigger gun boner for classic rifles like leverguns than modern tactical stuff. My first "big gun" was a Winchester 94 in .30-30 Win, and I've loved lever rifles ever since. I definitely want one of the new Marlin 1895 SBLs, but also have a strong desire for a vintage Winchester Model 71 .348 Win and a Winchester 1895 in either .30-06 or .405 Win. And I really dig the Bighorn Armory lever action rifles in .500 S&W and .460 S&W, I just wish they weren't $3k.

What do you think of those funky lowers that fit AR trigger parts and a super safety?
Hyper GAY get a mp5 if you want one.
My go to HD gun is my canned MP5 and a gun if lord forgive I can't fight mrs can.

If you don't have an MP5 you're lame.

I am kinda with your dudeship @The Dude . But also let me sneak a Quigly quote paraphrased.... just because its not my thing doesn't mean I don't know how to use one.

Had a nice pistol range session with my bud lot of memes chat good shooting then few Plineys (rolls of beer) good way to end an awful week.

TIL that I can make my Uzi Pro less lame if I can find a Micro or Pistol lower, which would allow me to use regular Uzi magazines.

I would buy a parts kit if they still existed for a price that I wouldn't consider retarded.
Mail it to me.

Funny enough unrelated, had dinner with Poppa Basso. I mentioned I can't get over how many "old guns" I want now. Now I'm "old" I grew up in 90s... I was like lame uzi.. I didn't know guns then ... well whoops.. now I want an uzi..

Unrelated IMI looks like new uzi. I'll built a parts one.

Even before I got into guns and only liked the old things (esp because grandpa was OG snake with a m1) crazy I don't have a FN FAL/ g3.

The quote is "I said I didn't have much use for one. Never said I didn't know how to use it."

Such a good movie. I remember seeing it in the theater with my parents when it came out.
