People don't hate California's gun laws just because they are shitty. They hate them because they are flagrant violations of the 2nd Amendment and the federal judges located in California's district are liberal activist political appointees and refuse to rule against their laws. Imagine someone like Justice Jackson or Sotomayor but at a lower court level and they just make shit up on the spot to defend California's laws. Somehow a list saying which handguns you can buy on the AG list is somehow Constitutional. Somehow turning your rifle into an usable piece of shit unless you sit down at a bench with it isn't an undue burden in the context of the 2A.

Yeah maybe their laws are better than former Commonwealth nations but those nations don't have the 2nd Amendment to protect like we Americans allegedly have to add insult to injury. Its fucking stupid that someone in Finland, which has no right to bear arms enshrined in their constitution or related document, has arguably an easier time getting a complete AR-15 there as opposed to California.

The problem is that we are talking about retarded Leftoid politics here. While the politicians and businesses are motivated by practical things like money, the base (and also some of the people in positions of power in government/business) are ideologically motivated. These are the places where they have taxpayer funded drug distribution and usage facilities for muh harm reduction.
Grabbers will HAPPILY spend mountains money that isn't theirs in order to wage a hopeless WAR ON GUNS because it looks good.

I hate the analogy I keep drawing between drugs and guns because they are fundamentally different things but it unfortunately works. Guns are to the Leftoid as drugs are to the Rightoid.

I couldn't give less of a fuck about the gun laws in Canuckistan or the upside-down penal colony. They aren't my country. California, unfortunately, IS part of my country and I find their draconian, unconstitutional laws offensive and a flagrant violation of the history and traditions of America. I'm pretty sure that's not California compliant...the thumb needs to be prevented from wrapping fully around the grip below the action which is why fins are popular as they convert any pistol grip into featureless compliance. My guess is that they're banking on "does not protrude conspicuously below the action" but that alone, as far as I am aware, was not a well tested route to compliance since it still fails the thumb-wrap test below the action.

Some like the U-15 and the hammerhead allowed the thumb to wrap above the action (if you had massive hands) but that was the closest I ever saw.

Given that's 3D printed receiver I bet he'd be out of Cali compliance anyway AWB feature issues aside, unless he submitted the cuck forms to tell the state about it. :story:

look at this old old .45 colt cartridge case:

This is a old P.M.C case. It's at least 30 years old. I have many thousands of .45 colt cases, and a lot of them were donated to me by my shooting mentor who was a champion in CASS in the 1990s. This case has probably be reloaded a 1000 times in the last 30 years.

.45 colt cases are built very tough. they're thick walled, and since most people load them to about .45 ACP pressures they just last forever. when i load to magnum pressures i get about 15-20 loads before the primer pockets start to loosen up. tight crimp will also lessen case life. Light loads are usually not crimped at all.

The patina you see is what brass will tarnish into over many years. its a dull blackish brownish green. quite eye catching and appealing to be honest. you'll see tarnish like this on lots of old ammunition.

See now I think more people would be willing to pay insane amounts of money to buy a 15.2×169mm smoothbore APFSDS firing rifle rather than the gay L85, even if just to shitpost while shooting old engine blocks and nuking deer into atoms with 50+ dollar rounds. I'm sure it'd take about 5 minutes for someone to handload cheaper buckshot rounds for it given the smooth bore, hell maybe that'd be the way, advertise it as a shotgun and that might deal with a few legal issues (although undoubtedly it's getting classed as a DD either way, so probably wouldnt matter). Reading that PDF, they do a damn good job advertising the useful features of such a weapon, so maybe you'd even get a few special forces orders. I know if I was doing some small unit shit, something like the IWS2000 would be pretty damn useful. And nobody aside from the most teeaboo brained collector is buying a fucking repro semi-auto no FRT allowed L85.

They're not going to see their return on investment. Now if someone made an FRT/Super safety for the M240 from Ohio Ordinance? I might consider blowing over $12K there.

This is my thinking as well. They are pricing this up for the rich gunpeople FOMO category and probably the mark up is considerable just because of that. They know because the gun normally is unobtanium, they can do stunts like this and it will probably succeed. They will get all the bigger guntubers talking about it for added marketing that will help their future projects, I think Ian already has mentioned it and probably makes a video if they send a gun for him for a loan. Or Ian just outright buys it as he is a rich gunperson.
