Mega Rad Gun Thread

I don't like the safety on my marlin because it will still let me pull the trigger, so creating a noise from the hammer hitting the saftey, then my cussing while I recock and disengage the safety.

It just seems like an afterthought.
My first gun ever was a Daisy BB gun.

It was a lever action and had a cross bolt safety

You take those evil words back SIR

Thanks. That was my plan but TWI isn't making them anymore. I spoke to a distributor from Hong Kong and he said that TWI sold the rights to a company called FCW and the new owners are in the process of redesigning the entire thing due to issues with TWI's design. It's in preorder status and AFAIK there're not being imported unless you do it yourself.
Thats a real shame the TWI stuff was on par with real zenitco. If you dig through my post history you can see I tend to start projects without finishing them 😅. Next month I'm sending out an AK102 to be the base for my kochevnik. Will post a finished kochevnik in a couple months.

"I may be ugly, but my moms thinks I'm handsome!" The rifle.
I have very particular taste ( I may have autism I don't know.) I like odd builds they just feel natural to me. I'm often chastised and looked at in sheer disgust. Anyways here's another mini 14 project I'm working on. I think I found a way to make the trigger not suck with this bullpup chassis.

The muzzlite was used in a couple 90s action movies. I just liked it because it was terrible.
It's also a cope QBZ 95 if you squint hard enough

IIRC when the Starship Troopers movie was made they either used or based much of the shell for the Morita rifles on the Muzzlite stocks. So every time you see Casper VanDien as Johnny Rico ganking bugs with his Morita, it's really a Mini-14 gussied up with a fancy shell either based around or inspired by the Muzzlite.

Quiet Labs Hub Lok, it's a Plan B Hub adapter you Can screw a provided suppressor cage into

Brello Solutions 10/22 Brass catcher, it's clamp on and a superior solution would be to make it swing out to be able to operate the charging handle

The guy behind this is also apparently working on a Beretta CX4 FRT with Griffith Guns, maker of the Beretta 92 FRT

Speaking of FRT's, this is apparently a rough prototype of A VZ. 58 FRT that will eventually be sold at this website

Do you want a real deal no bullshit open bolt belt fed because a Lima Six or a FightLite just wouldn't be enough? But don't want to pay like $50-80k for a transferable belt fed? Do you also own a MAC-10 you bought for $1200 in 1992 and also have $10,000 (apparent retail price) burning a hole in your pocket? Because Lage Manufacturing is working on a prototype 5.56 belt fed upper for MAC lowers

They're also doing upper that feed from 10/22 mags and AR-22 mags but those are boring

Jay from the semi controversial PewScience put out a review of the Stealth Additive Works "Tisha" 5.56 suppressor because It's doing things that no suppressor has literally ever done before sound wise. Jay has dubbed it the most advanced suppressor he has ever tested

For comparison, this thing is 4.5in long with a direct thread adapter and 2.1in diameter at it's widest and weighs like 11oz while being made of Titanium (an inconel version is planned thatnwill apparently weigh 16-18oz) The CAT Kitty Kat, another extremely high performing model is 4.75in long, 1.6in in Diameter and weighs 12.8oz and is made of inconel

Anyway, the reason why people are freaking out about this thing is that while then CAT KK earns a composite rating of 34.3 (Muzzle 32.4, Ear 28.6) with a decibel rating of 148bd on a 10.3 MK18. The SAW Tisha earns a composite rating of 49.6 (Muzzle 49.4, Ear 32. 8 with a decibel rating of 140.5 on the same 10.3 MK18.

Apparently due to the way it's designed you actually start seeing a performance drop off after 14.5in of barrel because it's optimized for high pressure. It also has apparently minimal blowback

PewScience is basically saying this shit is the best thing to happen to Silencers since Percy Maxim cobbled the first one together

8 decibels? HOLY SHIT!

It's like the XM177 moderator, but it actually WORKS, lmao.

kiwi Crew I have let autism and FOMO take me again. The reciver is another 400 and I will be praying someone makes a replacement handguard because the ones in this kit are crumbs

Congrats, I have been fighting my autism/FOMO for RTGs PE-STGW.57 w/barrel kits they have for like 1k. The only thing stopping me is the 5k receiver......

I have a PE STGW kit but no reciver, I didn't know how expensive the total cost would be and now i think mines gonna stay a dead kit.

Just checked and Im missing the barrel. I dont think i'm going to finished this kit haha

Looking into it HoneyCreekMfg on gunjoker sells receivers for like 699.99 buy now, but requires machining and stuff. Barrels are still $600-700 I think but they are allowed with kits again so that might change. I am deciding against it for now, I have a DP27 I need to finish, I want to do a destructive device build this year, and I will prob form 1 a few SBS's with the changes coming up.
