From a purely "well organized militia" standpoint, the Hughes Amendment is dead. I'm not saying that everyone shouldn't have the chance to dual-wield FAMASes if they want to, but as far as dissuasion of tyranny (the purpose of citizen-owned arms) goes, things are really looking up. And more types of FRT are being developed every day.
Blue Jean Operator has been doing some interesting concept designs with the FRT turning the AR into an IAR. There’s also belt fed AR uppers too. It’s not on the same level as private citizens owning cannons and entire warships but it’s at least a start. Personally I just want a 40mm grenade launcher even if I’m cucked to using chalk rounds for bloops. The garand grenade launcher attachment and attaching the dummy grenade with a tennis ball is all I have currently to fill that niche.

I built a P80 G21 (PF45?) a few years ago having never owned or fired a Glock and was shocked by the trigger. Convinced I did something wrong I had a Glock fanboy friend look at it and he said nope this is how they're supposed to feel. This one was better than most actually. Trash.
Glock triggers aren't great and most P80's are even worse. I had to polish/lapping compound nearly every internal part of my P80 before it became almost kind of like a real Glock. I still have a few P80 frames that I can't be fucked to build because I just don't like them lol

I believe Brass Facts also has a few videos exploring how a civilian group might benefit from someone having an FRT IAR or RPK type weapon.

Looking at SEAL combat tactics in Vietnam, I think it should be a lot more than one person. If you don't have China Lakes and a backpack of M72s, the force multiplier of "everybody has a light machine gun" looks more and more appealing. Obviously, in an urban/jungle environment it would be more useful to have 12.5in barrels than 20inch barrels, but the concept is flexible enough to be the same.

Any day now...

I've seen that guy in my YouTube suggestions but I've never actually watched him, is that really that retarded
The only Guntuber worth even a second of attention died not long ago. All the rest are fucking despicable degenerates (for instance, Brandon Herrera definitely diddles kids. Why do you think he ran for office?).

Tangentially related to guns but I've got an extra thousand bucks lying around and I'm sure living in the middle of bumfuck nowhere in a small town I'll never need it, but do you guys have any recommendations for plates/plate carriers? Was also looking at a concealable one but those seem to only be Level 2 at the most. Mainly concerned about it being stab resistant.

Also, shout out to the real ones that recommended me a good starting rifle last summer - I've had so much fun with my 10/22 that I've expanded my range toys significantly and picked up an AR, shotgun, and a dumb fun colt 45 Henry Repeating Rifle. Been having so much fun going to the range over the last few months but holy fuck this hobby gets expensive quick.

If you live in butt fuck nowhere why are you concerned about being stabbed to the point of looking for a covert vest?

Stab resistance and bullet resistance are two different things. If you're going to get stabbed, chainmail is the way to go because kevlar does nothing to stop knives and ceramic rifle plates don't cover the arteries that are so vulnerable to knife attacks.

Steel rifle plates will get you killed in da streets a multitude of spall injuries and are heavy as heck anyway, do not buy them.

I feel like a kid finding out santa claus isn't real. So basically at best the lighter, concealable stuff is just to "maybe" stop lower caliber rounds?

It depends on what you're trying to get from Guntubers; I watch them for information more than anything. I like Tools&Targets, he does a lot of good ammo testing, even if he spergs out on neocon boomer shit in his community notes sometimes. Everything Black Powder has a lot of really interesting videos on black powder production as well as various tests of loads and firearms. Banana Ballistics, C&Rsenal, Gunbelievable, BUFFMAN Range, and Forgotten Weapons sometimes have interesting videos too.

You are going to need some serious evidence to just randomly accuse a guy of being a child rapist.

Also, @S.C.U.D. , I saw tnoutdoors9 put his videos back up, just FYI.

The 10/22 is the perfect gateway drug - cheap to purchase and feed, reliable and a joy to plink with. Also, if you haven't started in with modding it (or your AR), you're in for a second whole rollercoaster ride there.

As for the other bit... Yeah. Nobody tells you that the guns are the cheap part, lol.

In other news, my new-to-me CZ 83 arrived and at this point, Czech guns account for almost a third of my handgun inventory:

I need to find some more interesting grips for the 83 now.

Khyberpass Customs baby AK underfolder, in 7.62x25.

It's so cute, I'd buy that for a dollar, a couple goats, and make it my side bitch. At the least it'd be a hilarious truck gun.

Plus an engraved Tokarev:
Maybe it's gay and I don't care, but shit like that makes me hard. I'm sorta glad we don't have anything like that in the states, because I'd end up paying stupid money for one.
