Everyone with a CCL knows you don’t walk into every scenario with a firearm on you because you’re escalating things carrying deadly force. The worst thing you can do is be around stupid people in stupid places at stupid times. The second worst thing you can do is decide to pick a fight with a cop.
It's literally a main point in any sort of CCW training to avoid all confrontation when armed, if possible, if only for the legal implications of starting a fight and then ending it with a weapon, which you're not allowed to do.
The problem is that a lot of 2A people are overly focused on legal definitions and are ignoring the context of the situation. The leftist goal in these scenarios is to constantly provoke and then force the state to either back down and look like bitches, losing legitimacy as a result, or force the state into using violence in which case the left will immediately spin it into an example of government tyranny. They’ve literally been using this tactic for more than a hundred years.
