Mega Rad Gun Thread

NYC far worse. nerf guns are illegal there. that whole state also inadvertently banned PGO shotguns & muzzleloading muskets by redefining the definitions of shotguns and firearms yet does not enforce against either of them so even the most diehard fudd types are in a grey area of being technical felons at the whims of whether the PD wants to be assholes and ruin someones life that day or not. state AWBs are a fucking scourge onto humanity because they pass these laws and let nobody else know which inevitably leads to stupid shit like 90 year old women going to prison for having their husband's old rusted out .32 S&W in their nightdrawer. yet obviously the people out there committing real crimes doing deranged shit dont give a fuck. washington state is a shithole too and virginia is about to join the fun. its fucked up but the places in Europe with good gun laws are better in that regard than places here with shitty ones and the people that do live in states with good firearms laws dont give a fuck because of "got mine" syndrome.

"No FUN allowed!"

I've been shooting for roughly 12 years now, and I had my first ND today with the gun pointed downrange at a target. Fucked me up.
NDs happen. I've had a few.
>At friends apartment at college. Just bought my first pistol from a gun show (I was 18)
>Drinking with friends
>Show them my new Jericho
>Try to manually decock
>Thumb slips on hammer, ND into celling
>Upstairs neighbors too high and drunk (underage and illegal drugs) to call the police.

Second time
>At range
>Showing friend pistol
>Think gun is unloaded
>Point at ground show him how to wrack and pull the trigger.
>Forgot loaded mag in
>Shoot between his feet

Third time
>At parents house.
>Just bought a sig from a guy
>Get home
>Try swapping slides with another sig I had
>Forgot the other sig slide was chambered.
>Pull trigger
>Shoot parents wall

Fourth time
>At my new house
>Playing with a friend's 5.56 AK
>Release bolt
Slam fires round into ground

Fifth time
>Showing a friend how to use it
>No idea how but a round got chambered
>Show him how the trigger works,
>Pull trigger
>Shoots round into floor in the same place as before

Sixth time
>Thought maybe the house was haunted
>Grab a sig
>Physically clear it, (racked the slide 3 times) with no magazine in
> pull trigger at the same hole
>Round goes off

Seventh time
>Friend brings over a used Glock wants me to look over it
>I grab it and pull the trigger without clearing it
>Didn't even realize the thing was loaded.

Eighth time
>Friend brings over his transferable Mac 10
>I had no idea how open bolt guns worked.
>He's showing it off to me
>I put a loaded mag it and decided to try and release the bolt (I thought it shot from a closed bolt)
>Pulled the trigger for some reason
>Shot 3 rounds into my wall

Ninth time
>Be drinking white claws
>Get a good buzz going
>Decide to play with Ruger Vaquero
>Forget I had it loaded with ratshot
>Accidentally pepper TV screen with tons of pellets

Tenth time
>buy a pistol with the hammer exposed
>thought if the hammer is down i dont need to keep it on safety
>show it to my bro
>he points it at wall facing moms side
>he pulls the trigger
>the hammer MOVES BY ITSELF from his retard strength
>gun goes off

Eleventh time
>typing list of ND's
>move hand from keyboard to mouse to hit post
>hand grabs pistol on desk
>shoot a 9x18 into wall

Twelth time
>carry suppressed old .22lr hammer fired because if/when have to shoot defensively don't want sirens and lights and shit, just want to scuttle away with collar pulled up to hide from all the vidya
>so can't always IWB depending on clothing/weather
>carry in shoulder bag, sometimes very compact one, muzzle pointed at sky, hammer down on a loaded chamber as the hammer must be cocked to fire and I'm faster doing that than racking the slide
>at small grocery store with 10 year old son. Yes, he knew.
>slip shoulder bag off to dig out grocery bag at cash register
>slips too fast, bag hits floor
>little noise, as of breaking glass thermometer or something
>quite bright in store, and as my heart rate goes through the roof and I try to look calm while picking up bag, digging out grocery bag, pulling out money to pay... a thin stream of drywall dust falls between the three of us, me, my son, and the store owner
>son sees it too, his eyes and mine both dart to the ceiling maybe 12 feet up
>I quickly force my eyes down and deal with bagging veggies and stuff

Thirteenth time
>playing with my takedown .22
>half rack slide and look in chamber
>nothing there
>slam foreend home
>pull trigger
>round goes off
>turns out the extractor broke and didn't clear the gun when I racked the slide

Fourteenth time
>practicing my HD load in my Mossberg 590
>snap cap in chamber, then 00 buck, then 1oz slug, buck, slug etc.
>pump action as I practice
>forget there isn't a snap cap in the chamber anymore
>pull trigger
>slug goes through 2 walls out my apartment into a tree outside
>nobody calls the cops because apartment complex is full of illegals
Overall you shouldn't feel too bad about NDs. It's part of owning guns, and you should get used to them.

Would i just be getting fucked by my local dealer or am i right in them saying "actually a dollar per high quality HP 9mm round is a great deal if you buy a bunch of boxes" is them being mega Kikes?

Almost every premium Self Defense round from the major manufacturers are identical to their LEO offering. The difference is they charge you the same price for a 20 round box as they charge Smokey Baear for 50.
You kinda just get raped buying premium hollow points. I have been buying 147 grain HST with the LE label. Cheaper that way since it's in 50rd boxes.
The only one that is hard to find is Winchester Ranger rounds. They are extremely careful about who they sell them to. It stems from the Black Talon controversy 30 years ago.

Fun fact. Ranger SXT, which is now Ranger T series is the exact same bullet as Black Talon. Allegedly even the marketing department at Winchester in the 90s unofficially called it Same eXact Thing.

Is it worth the wallet rape though? It was hornady critical defense and i'm not sure if there's anything as good for cheaper.

Critical defense is good. You'd probably be paying around that if you ordered online, but shipping ammo sucks cock for free so if you have access to critical defense for ~$20 a box local then I wouldn't feel bad paying that.
25 bucks a box if you buy 3 boxes....so 75 bucks for 75 rounds of it, really fucking jewish.

It's funny that they characterize that as a deal. It's just what you'd normally pay at Cabela's or something. Maybe a dollar or two cheaper in the final calculus. Gun stores near me do the same thing though. I always get excited and then realize I just paid what I would've on a Lucky Gunner bulk buy.

Should i check out lucky gunner then?

What are some firearms brands you tend to buy from when on a frugal budget?
ruger p89 .jpg

You will not find a cheaper, more robust firearm than the ruger p89. they're like two hundred dollar guns in anything but pristine condition. they made like a million of them, they're out of style and off-meta, and they're built to ridiculously low tolerances with high quality materials.

malfunctions? stop limp wristing it
aftermarket support? fuck no
lubrication? optional.
magazines? dirt cheap. Punch a hole in a beretta mag if you're desperate.
Trigger pull? 6 pounds single, 18 pounds double nigga
