This is the only part that stinks to me. Beretta is "the largest" by total revenue including shit like ammo, optics, branded merch, etc. but never releases any unit sales numbers.Fair enough, they are generally listed as separate entities though. even by Sako/Beretta.
I don't think Beretta owning Ruger would be a bad thing on the face of it. Most of their owned brands have done very well. They generally let them service their own markets with minimal interference.
They may have been hands off when acquiring niche manufacturers that are a rounding error to their production totals yet rough estimates of factory output puts Ruger's 1.5million guns a year at least equal to, if not double, the entirety of Beretta's current holdings. I simply can't see them leaving something like that alone.
At minimum I'd expect a third of Ruger's capacity to be reallocated to making Beretta products domestically.
