Mega Rad Gun Thread

Dad's a nam vet.
Was one of the last to go through basic with an M14.
They delayed his shipping out for about a week to train on the M16.
He said they cleaned them daily and if they had to wade through anything nasty they would tape the gun up in a trash bag with a hole cut in it for their hand.
Said it was normal to have them soaked in lsa.
When I asked if he had problems with his all he said was it went bang every time I needed it to.

That things huge and bounces around a lot. I wanna see more stuff G48 sized including the thickness/width

In 2026 there’s no such thing as a good (useful for anything besides shooting at trash) and cheap AKM. Meridian and Rifle Dynamics are the way to go if you absolutely insist on owning an AKM as your primary go to war rifle.
I feel old remembering the time AR people called you poor for having an AK.

1. Pretty clone correct for a domestic

2. easier than buying a childers/recreator blank and sourcing parts then dealing with gunsmiths and shipping.

3. I've spent nearly 2k on dumber shit like my m9a4 / rmr / x300

The appeal to AKs was they were cheap guns that shot cheap ammo, now they have become hipster guns.

G48 with 15+ round metal magazines that don't cost $60+ each.

They already make it. It’s called a Glock 19

That's just like... Your opinion man.
Picture unrelated.

I know from firsthand experience unfortunately.

G19 sized guns are just the most size efficient and still pleasant to shoot.

What's the best current HD ammo options for a 14.5, 1:9 barrel?
Recently switched from my 11.5 AR running Federal ND55664 (my rifle loved that stuff and I wish I had bought anther case or two when it was cheap) to my 14.5 AUG (smaller OAL with the suppressor).
I'd been running the 11.5 for years so I really don't know where to start with 14.5 barrels.
Any help much appreciated.

I think the next gun related item I'm going to save up for is one of those 2011 grip modules from Guncrafter Industries. Haven't decided if I'll go with aluminum or stainless for it yet. My only complaint about the Staccato P is the stippling on the grip is just too damn aggressive for carry. It's worn holes in several of my shirts. The grip from Guncrafter has texturing on it like an old pineapple frag grenade, so plenty grippy while not having any sharp bits or sandpaper texture to wear holes in clothing or irritate skin. They offer it with a MultiCam Black finish, which I kinda dig.

Don't fuck with me, my dad's also a mall ninja 🤡

I love the Luago Alien. I wish I had the coin for one.

Not just for hipsters, but also for Pinko faggot wannabe Commies.
