I don't know why everyone disagrees with this because if you actually use your brain it makes quite a bit of sense. Must be green reddit hivemind syndrome again. Anyway shot placement is extremely underrated because even a 7.62x51 through a non vital area won't instantly take someone down. Shotgun spread won't help you hipfire like the fudds say, but it will significantly increase your ability to land vital shots, especially on a moving target. Magazine capacity is a serious issue though you better top that bitch off at every opportunity.
Reloading practice is the bulk of the time I spend with my A300, particularly reloading from the shotgun cards, but also from loose shells in a dump pouch. I still get out and shoot it every now and then, but it's definitely cycled more dummy rounds than actual ammunition by an order of magnitude.

That aside, dumping north of a half pound of lead in under four seconds with it is pretty rad.

Mmm mmmm that A300 is awesome and it's newer sibling the 1301 is also awesome.

Beretta has the gas operated semi auto tube fed shotgun essentially perfected.

IMHO the only real alternative is the Mossberg 940 and it has better be 20% less money.

Oh and for recoil operated.... Benelli M4 or Browning A5 if you're classy.

What's a good powder measure for reloading pistol ammo on a progressive press? The one that came with my Lee six pack works fine for more granular stick powders, but with the fine pistol powders I'm using it's spilling the stuff everywhere.
Some have better luck with the simplicity of the Lee auto-disc measures but with the auto-drum measure and super fine powder you can either try polishing the heck out of the drum & the pocket it goes in, see if a different drum happens to fit better, or simply add an o-ring under the drum to keep powder out of the gears. A 7/8" OD x .103" o-ring works, you can 'borrow' one from a Lee lock ring if you have spares of those around.

Pretty much. It's crazy that this sub-$800 gun can cycle pretty much everything from super gay turbofudd trap loads to 3" turkey magnums, hot as fuck slugs and 12-pellet 00 buck and the only thing you notice is the varying recoil.

I've never used a progressive press. How limited is one in selecting/upgrading the powder measure on those?
I'm a sucker for the Mauser style action
I know exactly what you mean. As I have the same action on my Ruger Gunsite Scout I can tell you that this is an excellent upgrade if you want a fantastic trigger pull on it.

For those that know and have experience: who makes good pocket holsters for pocket pistols now?

My son likes the DeSantis Nemesis.
I've been using the leather Galco Pocket Protector so long I should probably get a new one.

If their AR triggers are as good as their M77's I'll look into it, and to answer the question of a pocket holster I too will endorse DeSantis, I have one for my E series CSX and the tacky exterior one works like a champ.
