i think it's the last day for the DOJ to submit a defense of the NFA, It seems like way more of a catch 22 than I originally thought. The current ruling would only apply to Suppressors/SBS/SBR/AOWs which are already 0$ and rarely used in crime, and to the plaintiffs (so like 4 companies now, but that would probably expand after a lawsuit).
any potential challenge in a higher court could have a completely unexpected ruling and could end up in the NFA being gutted in a much more significant or weird ways, and since this lawsuit is tax focused it could even (slim chance) get the Hughes amendment involved because that banned people from "paying the tax" which isn't a thing anywhere else in the US Tax code. (I haven't looking into this in a while so this is all from memory and probably wrong) here is a GOA tweet that got me thinking about it

finally entered the modern age and ordered an ultrasonic cleaner. according to the boys here the move seems to be putting parts in ziplocks/glass jars, but what cleaners do you all use? i'm going to try that purple simple green (thank you doctor) since it's not corrosive on aluminum but i'm still a little concerned with using it on my obsidian 9's tube/caps

My 10mm runs absolutely flawlessly with 10mm ammo, but chokes and jams immediately if I try to shoot .40 through it. Buying a 10mm auto pistol with the expectation for it to be multi fuel isn't a great plan. Sometimes it'll run both, sometimes it won't.

Since .40 S&W is .142” shorter then 10mm the only thing holding it in place is the extractor. I’m assuming a bunch of light strikes and split cases. Also it’s lower pressure so it not meant to cycle that gun.

No, it just doesn't want to cycle. Before I put a heavier recoil spring in it kind of worked and could go a couple shots before jamming, but with my new recoil spring it won't reliably cycle one round.
My favorite S&W auto will always be the 1076. One of the best 10mm Auto pistols ever offered. Wish I still had mine. It was a particularly clean ex-FBI issued sidearm.

Vinegar+hydrogen peroxide will dissolve lead but creates lead acetate which is super bad. Probably not the thing to use all the time but good to keep in your "toolbox" especially for like a 22 can.
Wouldn't recommend for normal steel but fine on stainless and titanium.
