finally new parts kits coming in for the first time in like 3 fucking years. the supply is so goddamn constrained.

Yeah but like, its a Tavor. More or less identical to the one you could get off the shelf at the local gunstore, probably assembled by the same guy.
Bringing in the kits I get, its the people paying the price that baffles me

Unironically my knee-jerk impulse, though if you can find a Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore shop they'll probably do a better job and have better paints available. I think DTM would be the best option, not sure what the street price is for a quart but I pay a bit over $40 a gallon for Ultra Spec DTM at my Benjamin Moore shop so a quart will probably be $20-25 for a rando, Sherwin Williams has an equivalent but I'm not sure on the price, if you ask for DTM they'll know what you mean. You can also rent a Graco Quickshot at mine which is a fantastic portable sprayer

The Geissele HICAR submission's info page. Looks really neat. The new barrel steel and the new gas port are very interesting.

Also look at how much they fenced in the bolt catch and the mag releases. Excellent idea. Oh and the pic rail has sweet sweet cable management cutouts. I want one.

A recent happening in the collectors market has baffled me; I ask this thread to explain.
Recently Israel has begun to phase out their older Tavors, which have then been cut up and imported as parts kits. Pretty standard fare. However, they run $600. Thats what I don't get. If you want a tavor, buy a used one for only $300 more. These IDF tavors aren't super historical, haven't seen much action other than skirmishes and border duty, and the tavor is still made now, and wasn't that old to begin with.

Why people are paying $600 for a gun that they can have used for $900 is strange.

Meanwhile, the bullpup parts kits I actually want are being destroyed.

The riveted steel cam track is going to save the upper from getting worn out by the bcg moving around.

GNB-200 barrel steel is going to o be the new Gucci gun standard going forward I'm betting.

The new bolt may be both oversized and feature updated lugs. It has to handle 82k PSI rounds after all, thousands upon thousands of them.

However, if you do want to get a 1301 I will say it is the absolute bees knees, best semi-auto shotgun I have ever owned, I adore it

Correct. I love my 1301 Comp Pro. I literally don't want another 12ga semi auto.

Aesthetics although IMHO the X-95 looks far better than the original Tavor.

Tucking in your elbow has no effect on shooting performance. For precision shooting it can actually be a detriment.

A relaxed or untucked elbow can alleviate some tension in your wrist, you'll see Olympic rifle shooters leave space between their elbow and torso, but that is a single shot slow fire technique. A flared elbow at ~90° is always a detriment. Keep your center of gravity in line and over your feet as much as you can for recoil control and mobility.

Actual real genetically female shooters can become some of the best shooters out there, I've know a few that can run circles around me and good for them.
These chemically corrupted amalgams of flesh cannot even hope to reach that level. Despite being men pretending to be women they just cannot shoot well. I've never seen a tranny that can hold their own in a shoot and I was there for the 2B Desert Brutality match. The HORROR.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you. When you say approx. 90° do you mean having your elbow stick out at all? When it's tight against my ribs holding the rifle is uncomfortable on my wrist.

Ah okay. So no, I'm trying to describe a chicken wing like this:
Which is wrong. It used to be taught from like the 1920-1960s, the idea being you made a little tuck for the buttstock to sit in and the wrist feels natural.

But semi-autos changed all that. This is tucked:


Which is going to do lots for you. Smaller target, better recoil management, closer to center of gravity, less wobble in keeping the gun up, and faster to get the gun into your "work space". It comes at the cost of slight wrist tension.

Here is an Olympic biathelete. Notice he doesn't tuck the elbow but let's it hang without any flare to it.

He is trying to get as many of the benefits of a tucked elbow without straining his wrist. No downsides to this in shooting, but the loss of leverage on a pistol grip isn't great in a tactical mindset sense.

IME women often make excellent students and come in with open minds about shooting. Extremely coachable.

Men tend to attach egos to their technique can be resilient to advice.

Physiologically men still have a huge advantage.
