Sorry, sticking with 9mm

2 GULF WARS
After giving my daughter a Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm for her 21st birthday years back I offered to let her carry this if she wanted. She declined my offer as well. :(
I can't say that I blame her. Her hands are too small for anything with over a single stack 9mm mag. She also turned down a Glock 19 but I understand her view.

I sold one to a friend whose son was going through the PD academy for a backup pistol before my daughter turned 21. I especially regret that decision.

My Dad bought me a S&W 340 PD for one when I went in. Recoils like a hell cunt but you’ll legitimately forget you have it.

Welp..... The .32 PPK that I wanted is OUT of STOCK everywhere and went out of production in December 2025 🥺

Walther says it'll be a MULTI YEAR production pause that'll probably end up with a redesigned ppk.... 🥲
I parted with a pair of PPK/s .380's last week. Why the focus on .32?

The guy is a furry, all bets are off
Even if fake, I will chose to believe its real because tactical furries are the most insufferable people ever and its funnier to believe he did SRS at the range for a instagram meme.
I still won't forgive Oxide for cheering on Vicker's rapening. As if that moron wasn't doing the exact same shit, dodging import bans to get obscure Russian ammo and parts. 100% jealousy Vickers was getting Kalashnikov Concern tours. No more sketchy paypal donations for cut up "blank gun" parts. Thats what you get for being a WO. Suffah airshitter
Hilariously, both these losers are furries. I think Larry Snickers won in the end anyway, oxide is a gay bottom furry who probably can't "boint" because, as he openly admits on his fetish accounts, his dick is too small to hit anyway.

I am really considering getting one of those repro colt 4x scopes from brownells. I hear good things about them and they are super cheap for a decent optic.

I remember watching that guy's war thunder edits in like 2014. How we went from that to gay furry helicopter pilot drama whore is something I don't think I'll ever understand.

Is it not HUB (1.375"-24)? I swear it was whatever HUBs pitch is
The Bravo ASR has the standard 1.375"-24 HUB threading on the other end I believe. I was trying to figure out the threads that mate the ASR to the muzzle side - as if I wanted to put a thread protector on this:

SCOAC2627_3.jpg

EDIT: It's 1-1/8" x 12 tpi (1.125"x12)

What was throwing me is that the standard threads on an Alpha tube are 1-1/8" x 24 (1.125"x24) so when I was seeing that in various places I thought I was looking at an Alpha ASR and moved on.

Oxide is a furry - does it surprise anyone that he’s a NAFO troon?

How come CZ compacts don't get more love? Seems like the natural compact compliment to the 1911 and Beretta 92 instead of the Glock 19. I love the G19 but the CZ feels much more responsive, I get better feedback from it. I assume price and weight was a factor? Polymer guns are cheaper and govt agencies love penny pinching.
When CZs were super popular on /k/, they were cheaper. I think the higher price point isn't helping. They are still popular, it's just that they don't get talked about much.

Women love the Equalizer. I do too, it's a little longer than the other micro 9s but it's a good shooter with a super easy slide. If you haven't, try one, and get her to try it. Some people have a gripe with the grip safety, I do not consider this a legitimate complaint after using it, nor does my wife.

The problem with the grip safeties isn't that they're hard to depress but rather that they make guns not work unless you can get a good grip on them, which may not always be the case in a high stress situation.

That's why Glocks are the best carry guns. Extremely safe and reliable with no need for the user to do anything but pull the trigger.

More old guy shotgun talk (you'll all end up here eventually):

Why is finding a competent gunsmith such a pita. Want to install some upgraded adjustable comb hardware after mine rattled loose during a clays course. Don't want to do it myself, can't find anyone who does more than slap ARs together.

Also gun fitting seems to be a dying art.

I can't remember if this was a topic in the thread yet or not but favorite gun powder / ammo brand smells. e.g. Winchester AAs always smell good after going off, .22lr always brings me back to childhood via the smell, most small caliber rifle powder smells too acidic.

Yeah, I'm aware of that argument against it. In retention training what I saw is that if you don't have a grip that would depress the safety you probably can't reach the trigger anyway (i.e. someone grabs the gun and rotates it away from your trigger finger). If they rotate it toward your trigger finger, and far enough from your thumb that you aren't wrapping your thumb around the backstrap anymore it's probably going to be out of battery from their grip on it anyway regardless of what safeties it does or does not have. Basically in retention situations going OOB during the struggle far more likely. As for drawing it to a grip that doesn't depress the grip safety, you'd basically have to draw with a grip that puts your thumb on the same side as your index finger or have your hand halfway down the grip. If one is poorly trained enough that such a thing happens they're probably going to hit the target anyway.

I found a deal for the Saar9 SOCOM for 400 bucks. I'm not sure how reliable or good it's going to be (it's turkshit). I'm looking for a nightstand gun I can add a suppressor to now that I can get one without going through the NFA paperwork. This has an optics mount and suppressor height tritium sights

I feel like these polymer 9mms are so figured out it would probably be fine but I would not get it, for about 100 more you could get a p10, or for a similar amount I would get a psa dagger.
