I found a deal for the Saar9 SOCOM for 400 bucks. I'm not sure how reliable or good it's going to be (it's turkshit). I'm looking for a nightstand gun I can add a suppressor to now that I can get one without going through the NFA paperwork. This has an optics mount and suppressor height tritium sights

I feel like these polymer 9mms are so figured out it would probably be fine but I would not get it, for about 100 more you could get a p10, or for a similar amount I would get a psa dagger.
Or an RXM. The models with threaded barrels are going for about the same price.

I have heard nothing but good things about the RXM. Would buy one if I didn't already have a bunch of Glocks

I’ve got two. One that lives inside my truck and another I use as a loaner for LTC classes. It’s the ultimate “I don’t give a damn about it” gun. It’s not a Glock killer IMO but serves a niche beautifully.

Yea the rxm is a great option. Honestly I kinda forget they exists because I don't own one.

For some reason my brother decided to get a gun recently, his online gamer friend had just got a riced out glock and he wanted to get one too. His friend said that gunbroker was where to get one. I was trying to talk him back (all he caed about was how it looked, gold barrel etc ...) and I wanted him to get an rxm.

But it was all over when I showed him the psa website, dagger was ordered within the hour.

Honestly just glad to get him into shooting. Went to the indor range with him and had a good time.

I ended up going on Atlantic Firearms and ordering a police trade-in G17 gen5, one of the early models with no front serrations.

Hoping to hell I get one with a properly beveled frame at the muzzle or I'll shit.

>get sweet deal on kimber k6s snubbie
>get sweet holster for it
>notice its raining outside
>walk my dogs with smooth jazz in my ear at night
oh yeah its autistic detective larp time
Kimber k6s.... NOT A S&W CHIEFS SPECIAL OR 642 😶‍🌫️

The Kimber is FAR too modern looking and feeling for detective larp. I'm sorry those are the rules.

When CZs were super popular on /k/, they were cheaper. I think the higher price point isn't helping. They are still popular, it's just that they don't get talked about much.

That and essentially everyone who wanted a classic model CZ bought them long ago. They’re great guns - but extremely dated for an EDC and pointless as a duty gun.

Got some trigger time on a Waltz 9, a current Infinity 2011, and a TTI Sand Viper today.

The Waltz 9 is legit. The other 2011s were better but it was barely. If one were in the market for a 2011 and you didn't want an MPA or a Nighthawk for about $5000ish, go for the Zermatt Arms. The comp'd model is fucking awesome. I'm not getting one (sticking to my CZs as I'm all the way gay) but I completely understand those that are.

I now see the utility of occluded dot training. I didn't not believe it was helpful earlier, I simply thought I didn't need it.

Nope.

In training, be sure to write shit down, have a plan on what you're doing so you're not just wasting ammo and time, and work on only one thing at a time.

I unironically carry with a taped dot most of the time.

It made an immediate difference on engaging targets on the move or while coming around a barrier. So yes, looks as if I'm running occluded dots for a good while.

What do you do to keep a home defense gun quickly accessible to you but not accessible to kids? I can't keep my AR leaning against a wall forever.
Cheap Amazon lockbox on the dresser. Code is one digit off when stored.

The most dangerous time is 2-3 years old when they are hyper exploratory and even when very obedient otherwise confused or forgetful.

Kid should go to the range with you early and see both how uncomfortably loud and dangerous guns are.

They can't conceptualize death, but they absolutely will be adverse to the horrible loud noise hole maker.

My oldest had a perfect grasp of staying away from dad's gun by the time she turned 4, and still enjoys going shooting with me.
