Metroidvania meets Record of Lodoss War

I recently made a post regarding news of an animated series of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory being directed by Taika Waititi of which my reaction to such was essentially "who asked for this".

Well after looking at this teaser : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdmKbXx6gtU which I just stumbled upon, I'm again asking myself the same question but for all the right reasons. They even gave her the after-image effect like in Symphony of the Night.

I was recently thinking about the beginning of shameless reboots of older properties in the nineties. WE, asked for this. That trailer looked promising, any and all good metroidvania games I'll gladly welcome.

Good Lord, that is shameless. You could be forgiven for thinking that is Symphony of the Night, especially the way Deedlit's sprite animates.

Not that I'm not interested, of course, as an old school Castlevania and RoLW fan. (The Dreamcast game is still awesome. RIP, Neverland.)
