Schizocraft looks fun but I have the same issue with it that I have with that one sex mod: can't trust running it. JVM's are easy to exploit. Antivirus software doesn't account for malicious code in JAR files, there's no good way to isolate it and there's no good way to track what it does and if it does something malicious. It's like running an EXE, except this EXE goes around every basic sanity check that an EXE file would otherwise go through.

To set up an entire isolated VM just to play the funny racist Minecraft mod is too much effort.

I jump into Minecraft after someone recommends Terralith, and the next thing I know I haven't touched any other game for the past week. I always get a sense of wonder just exploring the place (and some raging whenever I die from something. I gotta be more prepared when I explore the Nether).

This bitch's red. If you look closely there's a spawner hidden there.

just use multimc if you wish to not give money to microjew
MultiMC requires a valid Minecraft license on a Microsoft account to use. PolyMC comes with offline mode and authlib-inject. PolyMC also comes with QoL features that let you download mods and modpacks directly from the launcher without overbloating it like ATLauncher does, so it's a much better choice than UltimMC which aims to be a direct copy of MultiMC that's been so barebones for years that it was the reason PolyMC was created, which inevitably led to the Lenny fiasco, of which he was victorious in the end.

Fuck Scrumplex and fuck Prism.

barebones? what is missing in ultimmc? i dont really know much about cracked minecraft since i haven't used it much (migrated my mojang account like a good little goy) but id assume it being barebones is kind of the point, other than those third party authenticators like ely.by what do you need for an offline mode launcher?

At the most basic level, it doesn't require a Microsoft account to download and play the game. authlib-inject is a reverse-engineered Mojang authentication system, meaning that instead of rudimentary whitelists/blacklists you can have a proper account system on your cracked server that's equal to Mojang's official one.
but id assume it being barebones is kind of the point
Yes, technically that's true for MultiMC, but when people really wanted some QoL features like being able to download and update mods/modpacks directly from the launcher, something that ATLauncher has been doing for a long time, which is a major QoL improvement, MultiMC devs refused to add it. They also refused to create Flatpaks of MMC, and that's how the PolyMC fork happened. Then with time it got overran by troons, but it was still owned by the project's founder, Lenny, so he did a little coup d'etat on his own repo deleting the holy CoC, which kicked off the entire PolyMC vs Prism drama.

To quickly recap, the people that got kicked off started their own fork by the name of Prism, but since they're all spiteful troons they spread lies about PolyMC being "compromised" and "malicious" without any proof, lies that Mojang employees have proliferated without a second thought, then they used the little power they still had over PolyMC to damage the project as much as they can. Messing with GitHub API's openly gloating on Discord about it, trying to take over the AUR package that Lenny wasn't the owner of, lying to Flatpak staff about PolyMC being malicious to take it down from there and so on. Basically a bunch of untrustworthy schmucks that should be unemployable for being a liability.

In the end, Prism sucks tranny cock and does nothing new to justify it's existence, and PolyMC is still maintained and after the dust had settled it is clearly more trustworthy than Prism, and it's generally the best choice. For a while PollyMC (with two L's) was a popular choice as it was a cracked version of Prism, but now that Lenny has dropped any pretenses after acknowledging he shouldn't accept the premise of assholes he added both offline and authlib-inject to Poly, making Prism and it's forks obsolete.

unfathomably based, i think i still prefer multimc because it does support direct modpack installation and i dont really care about downloading mods from the launcher however im glad to hear about a project where the dev didnt kneel to troons.

Its only benefit at the time, owing to it having been one of the first forks to suck up to Prism directly instead of remaining a Poly fork.
The only downside to Poly is having to cajole them into supporting The Newest modloaders sometimes, but they eventually figured out NeoFags wasn't going anywhere and reluctantly pushed support to Releasebranch.

It was a good idea to wait and see if NeoForge was going to be a thing before adding support for it, I myself thought it would be a waste of time to add support for it, which despite my grievances turned out to not be the case.

It mildly amuses me that the folks at Mojang don't know the difference between a nautilus and an ammonite and they're coping with "it's a fantasy creature."

I'm gonna take this as an opportunity to shill one of my favorite mods, prehistoric nature. It's incredibly autistic, but in the good way.
Like a separate texture pack if you support another interpretation of a paleontological theory.

Genuinely a great mod, even outside of using it for my "unga bunga caveman" modpack. Then again I am pretty into paleontology so I'm biased to anything remotely relating to it.
