So, what do people think about the revamped baby mobs, craftable name tags, and golden dandelions in the latest update?
I'm someone who mods the shit out of the game, so I tend to look at updates less as "what do they add" and more "what frameworks do they provide" / "how does this impact the mod scene"

Copper was a goated upate even if it's useless in-game because it solved ten years' worth of incompatibility and consistency issues. In the same way even if the baby mobs and mob variants aren't (imo) very fitting to vanilla, I appreciate their inclusion because it will make my life much easier. I love elaborate resource pack setups and biome variants are one of my favorite things, but they're not especially common. All the updates means that most packs will now include them by default which means I have a lot more options. The baby mob models fit in well with non-vanilla packs so no more need for model replacers, either.

Craftable nametags cuts out one more data pack I have to enable every world and is also very appreciated for that reason. Golden dandelions are cool but I think they have the same problem as baby ghasts where it's fucking weird they're just some random item. I'd prefer if they were a rare spawn in certain biomes or structures.

i mean outside the baby mobs looking awful, everything is okayish since they are taking it safe, although the nerf to baby zombies was gay, seeing people thinking they could be safe from the little shits only to be caught by suprise was fun but modern mojang hates fun.

Open up Minecraft today and they put the stupid animated baby animals making noises popping in and out the sides of the launch screen, fuck you
Reinstalled Minecraft recently and had that exact same reaction. I fucking hate how busy the new launcher is. Compared to the Utilitarian old launcher.

Idk I just love the idea of defending your fortress from hoards of enemies during the night, while rebuilding and improving defences during the day. Non of this pillager nigger shit either, I need mobs that can break down doors and destroy fortifications. A full on Helms Deep experience.
Back in the day there used to be such a minigame called "dwarves vs zombies" which a few different servers ran. Probably the most fun I've had on Minecraft ever. Unfortunately all the servers are essentially dead now

honestly mojang is pretty ecstatic that getting rid of baby mob appearance is another thing of the "notch" time that is gone and most people don't really care about it.
nah it's a joke but that is the most propped up thing they've done after lazing about for so much, course they going to shove it in the players faces.

if mojang had balls they'd implement a bunch of shit in the game files without putting it in the game to consolidate mods

this new sulfurslime really feels like a "Fuck me roblox and hitale are going to rape our ass"

dwarves vs zombies
PauseUnpause, Ethoslab, Old Man Willakers (Rawb) before he turned into a fag, it was great. Tried to find more recent videos on it to see if someone tried to continue it in a different server, there was one called Nightfall but considering the only video I found of it was from a "transfem nonbinary catgirl" that just sounds like a kid with a nasal clog, I immediately ignored it.
I did find this review though:
God, I miss it, I miss the memories I made playing it and watching it.

Regardless of what people think of Hytale (it's got time to cook), their creative mode tools dwarf anything from Minecraft, especially vanilla. It's just not possible for Mojang to even come close to it.

Runsonic is probably the closest we'd ever get to a BossmanJack ARG.
Guy's daughter dies, gets addicted to drugs(?) and gambling, starts hallucinating some entity talking to him, starts a Minecraft channel to try and pay for his addiction, loses all of his friends and his girlfriend, then he snaps and murders one of them.

Also, I kind of want to play with a bunch of farmers. Probably more fun than playing with the average Minecraft player.
I would love a Kiwicraft server. Problem is figuring out which version (personally I would prefer something between 1.3-1.6.4). Not to mention that whoever hosts it will probably have to ward off the occasional tranny who would spam CSAM links.

It's hard to believe "Minecraft vs Roblox" used to be a thing. Nowadays Roblox has become The Only Video Game In Existence for a large percent of people under 20, meanwhile Minecraft has relegated itself to the Stardew Valley clone ghetto. Leave it to MicroIzzat to fumble an entire decade of cultural dominance

Wifies uploaded a Miecraft ARG story
which imparts the Eldritch horror lore of "The King in Yellow" in the whole ARG
his first video got 22 million views
today he finally released a part 2 of it.

Bonus, in part 2 it said the channel in question uploaded a 15 hour video on the ARG 2nd part
and 12 hours of it was dedicated to solely repeating a cycle in the story of:
"picking up flowers, planting them at graves, going to clean some weeds, moving water to a well, then trying to drown self, then going back to a church to stare at a book"

and... suprisingly it did show just that for a solid 12 hours.

Talk about dedication.

It's funny because roblox isn't even a game, just a platform for developers. Which pretty much means that if m$ fully supported mods without being retarded and jewish, then they could have captured the roblox audience before it even appeared.

Which version? This looks tedious like you said but also very rewarding.

I took a break at that part, came back and just...12 hours of trance. Probably a lot of repeating footage or at least a bot/script to continue until the "cycle" where he saw the sign. Very autismo but that's why it's pretty facinating as well as made a whole ass fanbase surrounding it. Drawings, music, animations, the whole shabang.

Was on 1.12.2 but you can do from some old version until 1.13 the issue is the setup like for example mine: Setup a server(only if you want to apply more than 8 enchantments if not just turn on lan) create a out of memory update suppressor, make a CCE shulker (more consistent since don't rely on allocated memory), crack the enchanting table seed in 16 different accounts, create 15 shadow items of the tool chosen and finally enchant the item

I can host a 1.6.4 server, I already have a domain at the ready. (shinonomehousehold.net, currently redirects to KW)
